iOS 15.0.1 this was mainly indoors w/ wifi enabled
you guys need to show actual usage per app shown below. some people like to show off crazy screen on time but theyre literally doing nothing on the phone. use an app like tailor to stitch screenshots together.

But do we really need to? If people were literally doing nothing on their phone, then the phone would have days of standby. You don’t drain 40-80% of a phone’s battery in less than 24 hours by not doing anything.

That being said, a good portion of screenshots here show the first 3-5 almost used apps.

Is anyone else experiencing power drops after completely powering off + turning back on? I just did this and lost 5% between 10 minutes of the phone being completely shut off.
From what I remember, all my iPhones have done this. This is normal I thought? If you plug your iPhone/iPad into your Mac and check it out with a 3rd party tool like coconutBattery, you'll see what your iPhone shows as battery % is actually quite a bit off from actual battery % state.

For example, right now: My 12 Pro Max iPhone shows 82% current charge in iOS. CoconutBattery shows 77.9% (current charge level). Depending on when you reboot, it may make that % a lot closer to the actual capacity.

My iPad does this. My MacBook does this. My Apple Watch does this more than any device I have. Reboot that and it'll show several % lower after reboot.

<shrug>.

Edit: Plugging in my iPhone to charge, it sits at 82% in iOS for quite some time (as actual charge catches up to 82% from 77.9%) then starts counting up - you can watch this via coconutBattery. Also why your phone will sit at 100% charge for hours sometimes (as actual charge goes down to 95% but iOS reports 100%).

it would be good practice to show additional details for added contextual reference. that way users can get a general gauge of that users phone usage. at least show the top two most used apps with screen on time included for those individual apps

13 Pro with 15.0.1. It’s my 6th day with the phone. I don’t know if it gets better or worse. At this point I’m too afraid to ask to Apple or return it. I guess I’m gonna stick with what I have.

Only way I’m going to kill this battery in a day, is by putting it on cellular and cranking brightness up to 100% lol

Mine stops charging at 97,5% of reported capacity of Coconut (3201mAh), which is still greater than the official one (3095mAh)

Just set up as new, what a PITA. Reimported the photos on the camera roll with Rollit, which I didn't remember but already had bought years ago, now off to reinsert 8 email accounts..

This is a first for me, I had 0% drop in battery for about 7 hours while I slept. I thought this was very impressive. I would be interested to see what others over night battery usage looks like.

That doesn't sound right. Total standby time is 89 hours right? Official Apple data. Probably has something to do with calibration. The important thing is that it generally has a good autonomy

I usually kill off all my apps before I put the phone down for the night. I will have to see how this goes after the 15.1 release.

Where did you hear that?

Just thought i’d update but I returned my 13 pro to Apple yesterday and ordered another from At&t. Should be here on Tuesday or Wednesday and hopefully it’ll behave normally. If any of you are on the fence, I implore you to do the same. Idk, in my head you should be getting a great battery experience for $1000+. These phones are far too expensive to be settling for less

So, instead of endurance tests, what about standby test? In 5 hours today I went from 100% to 92%, 4G, 20 minutes of screen time. Doesn't sound super normal to me but..
