So, instead of endurance tests, what about standby test? In 5 hours today I went from 100% to 92%, 4G, 20 minutes of screen time. Doesn't sound super normal to me but..
It’s not too bad….when you charged to 100, was this on 100 for a while?

For those who are worrying about the Magsafe charging heat, it's NOT an issue as you can see that it keeps the battery temperature keeping it at lukewarm temp of 30 degrees Celsius by automatically reducing its charging rate (I know we want the full 15W, but until they reach very close to wired transfer efficiency, that's the best it can do for now) so that you don't have significant battery degradation at each charge cycle. I use Magsafe with my launch day 12 Pro Max 99.9% of the time and charge with that EVERY night until I wake up and I have 216 cycles currently with Effective Max charge still over design charge and 100% battery health reported on iOS and iMazing

Guys. I just want to let you know that problem is LTE. Most of the people here posting their time probably use their phone %90 of the time with wifi. Today was my first full home day with 13 Pro. Now at the end of the day, I have 51% left and ~5:30h SoT. So… my phone was not lemon actually I should’ve just used it with wifi. 😂

You can probably expect 5-6h with lte

This week I had ~4h sot with lte. But my problem is I travel with train so connection is not stable during going and coming back from work. Also I listen music 1-2 hours along the way. That makes hours of screen off time. I was really worried but today I see that eith wifi this phone is beast like they say.

So I assume you are using airplane mode with Wi-Fi enabled?

I am having inconsistent battery life in my 13 pro (non max). 4hr SoT yesterday with ~50% battery left. But less than 2hrs SoT today with ~50% battery left. Used similar apps etc but today I was out and about a lot more. Does 5G _really_ drain that much battery??

What did you do today? Before the 10% drop. Like the hint in the other thread about video consuming less battery than moving things around the screen. For example the other day I did shoot pictures for half an hour and killed liked 20% of the battery

All day texting and swiping up/down through twitter-instagram. So not much difference for that %10. I guess something happens in background. Tbh I feel okay with this battery and wifi performance. But with lte it should be better.

iOS 15.0.1
iPhone 13
32% battery remaining

Been out and about quite a bit today. Lots of YouTube, Spotify and some FaceTime and calls. Still stellar battery life! I can’t get 5G in my area yet, so this is 4G and Wifi

iPhone 13 Pro Max
Connected: WiFi
4:52 SOT, 50% battery left
0% battery loss for 6.5 hours while sleeping, off the charger. Crazy.

Light usage day. The impressive thing here is that I start off at 86% battery for the day (where I am choosing to stop charging).

Did you disable background activity, push notifications etc?

Yes to both. There are some other things as well like I have dark mode on, brightness at 35%. auto brightness off.
Thank you, this explains a lot. Dark mode with OLED panels consume a ton less energy as they are completely shut off on the black parts. Also the Pro Max battery is massive. Nice one

I would try to deactivate Hey Siri.

Today 2:30h SOT with 15 min LTE 75%.

Last Friday ca 2:20h SOT -> 63-64%

Agreed. Listening for Hey Siri is usually the first thing I turn off. While I use it, I like to activate it myself, not have it listening to every word I say - because I usually activate it right in the middle of a presentation, or something embarrassing.

To those videos saying to turn off a ton of useful functionality:
That said, a lot of people think they have to turn off a ton of features on their phone to eek out a tiny bit better battery life when just turning down the brightness a little and/or using Dark Mode would have a bigger effect. I get great gas mileage driving my civic. I'd get even better gas mileage in my civic if I just shut the car off. :p
