stop this nonsense macrumors. You do NOT need to upgrade
My best friend just sold his SLR “I never used it, was always using my iPhone”.You could have bought a good photo camera instead
shame shame, i love that tech, and still use it on my xs — it's still very much supported. going to miss it once i upgrade...I disabled it. Never saw the point, and at this point no apps support it probably.
But I've got Touch ID and a headphone jack, which are nice.
I think you are right. I remember how impressed I was with that picture when I took it. As you say, it hasn’t aged well.Could be wrong. Looks like the first phot's worse quality is largely due to the use of 1st gen portrait mode on the IPX - it hasn't aged well.
As I mentioned here already. Since the 8 I don’t notice differences in normal sceneries.Funny how iPhone 8 actually seems the best in the two last pictures. Time to upgrade (downgrade?) to 8?
Not for nothing, but you do have one current-ish iPhone you could upgrade to, which is the SE 2020, which is basically a faster version of the 8.Yeah I don't care at all about the camera. I want a long battery life but I also want touchID back so I will have to wait to upgrade my 8
Absolutely agreed. A proper (clean etc.) iPhone11 is FAAAAR better. That iPhone 11 lens is clearly dirty... kind of a makes this comparison completely useless.

Are you Brad Pitt? 🙂I upgrade from an iPhone X to the 13 Pro Max and really the only noticable difference (apart from the larger screen) is the cameras. So far it has been well worth it. I've got 4 kids so I'm always capturing them to be able to enjoy when they've grown up and flown the nest.
Here's photos I took of one of my kids standing in the same place at the same time of day 4 years apart. That day being the day I got he iPhone X and the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

I came here to make this exact commentThat iPhone 11 lens is clearly dirty... kind of a makes this comparison completely useless.
It's most probably dirty. No way that the iphone 11 is that bad. Scratched lens or something?
It's most probably dirty.
Yep i was thinking straight away the same… something wrong with their 11 pro. I never have issues on my 11 proI have to agree that something is wrong with the iPhone 11 pro they used for the demo. My iPhone 11 pro does not have that haze effect and it takes much better photos than the ones shown on the demo.
I agree. I have a 11 Pro Max and it takes way better pictures that this. That iPhone 11 lens is clearly dirty... kind of a makes this comparison completely useless.
