Look we made the notch smaller. Time to sell a new phone. Wow and we wonder why we have an environment problem.

Because the iPhone screen is wider than HD/4K content which has a 16:9 aspect ratio; like every video on the various streaming services. If your videos are forced to the screen width, then the top and bottom are cropped. Wouldn't it be funny if you had been watching vertically cropped videos all this time while commenting about how left side is cropped by the notch.
You're watching them all shrunk down and half size? That's like doubling the black bars on the top and bottom. That's more annoying than the notch.

Half sized??? LOL

If I'm watching the video half-sized, then you are cropping off half the height of the video AND still seeing the notch.

The smaller notch will probably be reused for the 2022 iPhones with possibly the first notch-less iPhone coming in 2023, possibly accompanied by a folding iPhone. I personally don’t believe Apple will use a punch hole design like one rumor said. That would be around the time I plan to upgrade to my next iPhone from my current 12 Pro.

I still don't get why they need such a big camera bump and don't just make the back of the phone a lot more flush with all the cameras, then fill all that extra bit with more battery so it lasts about 5 days.

Will I notice an extra 1mm of phone thickness when there's such a large bump poking out of it? I very much doubt it. Will I notice an extra 1mm of battery across most of the back? Probably quite a bit.
