I really hope Apple continues this trend of outstanding battery life with next year’s iPhone 14 and beyond.

What they normally do is release a phone with great battery life one year, then make a trade off the next year for thinness and performance.

They need to keep this battery life as a primary feature of the iPhone line moving forward.

My question too. As a 12 PM user, an exceptional improvement in battery life could have tip the scales for me to upgrade in a year I was otherwise considering not.

If the 12 to 13 was a 2 hour improvement, then I wonder if we can apply a similar improvement to the 12 Pro to 13 Pro...?
Apple claims a 2.5 hours longer battery life for the 13 Pro Max vs the 12 Pro Max, and they usually undersell.

Hard to believe how low the iPhone SE 2020 is and wonder what my SE 2016 would register.

I feel like I always get like less than half of screen on time than what the reviewers are showing, idk why. Those numbers are crazy.

Well nothing to Brag about it 2.5 hours more, let the battery goes through 100's pf power cycles and then do this test again. to will come out to be the same.

He said he is verifying Apple’s battery life claims but that’s incorrect. Then he should have used the same test as Apple;

“Testing conducted by Apple in August 2021 using preproduction iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max units and software, subscribed to LTE and 5G carrier networks. Video playback consisted of a repeated 2-hour 23-minute movie purchased from the iTunes Store, tested with stereo audio output.”

Apple claims up to 28 hours video playback for the iPhone 13 Pro Max and up to 20 hours for the iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 11 Pro Max. It would be interesting to see someone replicating Apple’s test for these models, with iOS 15 on all devices to eliminate any software improvements that might increase battery life.

but but but it's only an incremental upgrade :rolleyes: /s
I would consider improved battery life an incremental upgrade given the previous phone also had stellar battery performance.

This isn’t a dig at Apple, but rather it’s hard to shake the Earth at this point in time.

It was probably because you cannot purchase these devices any longer. Maybe this was for folks wondering if they should purchase what is currently available.
