Hello everyone!

wanted to check if anyone has already purchased the leather case for their iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max and find that the fit for this year's case the same as last year? or is it very snug/tight fitting this year?

I noticed the stainless steel band is still exposed where the lip of the case is still not covering it from watching some youtube videos which reminds me of my experience last year with my 12PM was that my saddle brown case could pop off at corners and there would be a huge risk that the phone would come off the case during a drop and damage the stainless steel bands, i returned it because of this.

Don't understand why won't Apple create the leather case with the lip that wraps over the stainless steel bands for a better grip.

Look forward to hear from all!

Thanks!
I have the Golden Brown and Midnight for the 13 PM and I’ve tried many of them and none pop off or are loose.

They seem to have gotten better since the 12 leather cases. It seems to be a tighter grip and not as easy to get the corners off.

I just picked up the Midnight Leather Case Magsafe for my 13 Pro Max and it fits perfect, no issues with corners popping off and snugs perfectly fine.

Yes, unfortunately I’m having issues with the corners popping off. This is so frustrating as you would think they’d design these cases to stay on snug. It’s very disappointing to have to keep popping in the corners of the phone. I’ll be exchanging my case to see if the new one does it as well.

I’d just like to add that there is absolutely an issue here. I tried 5 Apple leather cases (for my 13 Pro) in the store right in front of the clerk and none of them fit around the top left corner suggesting this is more than a statistically insignificant sampling error. I checked the phone and it doesn’t appear to be warped in any way. I was honestly a bit perturbed at the Apple Store reps suggestion to just carry the phone naked until I break it since I have Apple Care. The problem is either with the case manufacturing or the phones exhibiting this issue are imperceptibly warped. Don’t have the issue with the $15 Spigen case I’ve been using in anticipation of getting the leather one.

My Sequoia Green leather case for the 13PM is popping off. It’s not as bad as my Saddle Brown from last year, but I was really hoping that it wouldn’t be an issue again but here we are. I might look into a 3rd party leather case for the iPhone 14.

I had the same issue with my iPhone 12 Pro and leather case. Any small drop, the corner would pop off and always crack the screen protector.

I have moved to the silicon case, which I should have done earlier. I found the leather case too slippery which was problematic in the car; the phone would slide across the dash or from the passenger seat to the floor, etc…

Elmers glue solves everything……….

(Note: Elmer’s glue is NOT permanent. Does not damage case. Does not damage phone. But it keeps corners from popping off.)

When I carry my iPhone 13 Pro in my pocket, the corners pop out on the black leather case. It's clearly from pressure on the phone from my leg. I have to pop it back in pretty much every time I take it out. I love the case but I wish this wouldn't happen. The previous poster's idea is actually not bad if you insist on keeping the case.

Has anyone else had the pants pocket problem?

Midnight leather for 13 Pro. No issues with corners popping off. Was definitely an issue with the black leather i had for 12 Pro. I also find that this years case is somewhat harder to take off compared to last years.
Umm.. I stand corrected. My case has started to pop off. Mainly the lower right corner. I have not dropped the case or anything like that. Requested a replacement from Amazon. If the replacement does this out of the box then i’m not trying a third but instead will go with another brand/case.

I've tried journey, apple, blavkbrook, decoded, grams28, bullstrap, and best buy platinum. Of these, only the journey and bullstrap fit tight enough that I wasn't worried about corners popping off.

Good to know. Seems it’s an issue with most leather cases for the 12 forward. I think the chamfered edges helped cases stay on with the 5(s) and the steel band design helped the 4(s).

Not ideal, but putting the phone in your pocket with the screen facing in seems to prevent the case from popping loose.

I have had the sequoia green and dark cherry both having this issue with the bottom left corner popping out. iPhone 13 Pro Max. Should I exchange? Feel like if 2 of them have the same issue, they all might.

I exchanged my midnight leather case, and the second one feels like a tighter fit. I have yet seen it pop off, but we’ll see. If it starts coming off in the two weeks, I might return it. I’ve heard that this happens with a lot of leather cases now though. This one does fit a lot tighter though and was harder to put on. I think it’s less likely to happen with this one.

Sometimes I just put the phone in my pocket with the screen facing my leg, which prevents popping out from being possible. Not ideal, but it works. I mainly have the case for scratch and scuff protection, not drop protection, so it doesn’t worry me too much about what happens if I drop it.

So got my replacement and it´s better. But not perfect. Guessing this is the new reality. Overpriced cases with a poor fit. Before 12 series the main reason i got a apple case was for the fit...Oh well.
Will keep monitoring this for a few days and then decide based on how it feels/fits then.

I have both the leather green and red cherry both pop out slightly left corner both being returned not fit for purpose and won’t be exchanged not good enough apple for £59 a pop

QC on the cases could be better
But they are not all that way. Return it and get another one

My theory is this problem is in large part user error....

Most people don't change cases often and these cases aren't designed to be taken on and off often.

You can tell from the responses that in large part the people complaining are the people that have ~ 20 cases. IOW, people that change cases often.

And the people that have ~ 20 cases are obviously more likely the type to complain about a case on a message board so the responses are heavily skewed to the negative.

Soo basically another version of

Ok. Gotcha!

I am a big fan of Apple leather cases……but what you said is not true. It comes down to individual case fitment. Some cases, the corners are tight around the metal edge of the phone. Other cases, the corner(s) at the bottom don’t fully wrap around the metal corner of the phone…thus, easily pop out.

With my iPhone 12 PM, i had a case of each example. My Baltic blue lower corner was not tight. My black case corner fit so nicely.

And I’ve heard it tastes good…

BTW, who’s Brandon?

Probably, I tried two, new in box, and both felt spongy in the one corner, like they’d pop off after a couple of days. The cases snapped on and were kinda tight when taking off, but I must’ve done something erroneously…
