You’ve got better chances with the actual lottery. 😂I really cba playing the lottery but having used it in the dark, the red tint is unbearable... so back it goes!

The phone is 1 day old, and it's my third try... the first was perfect on grays but had a pink tint on the left side and pink shift, plus the white wasn't uniform, the second worse on grays and a heavy pink tint on the bottom. now this on whites is much better and no pink shift, i notice a slight pink tint on the right side but the real problem is the dark colors in normal use… where the right side of the display is darker than the left, do you really believe I should send it back? in the case, however, i attach another photo made better 5% gray at 15% brightness.Wow, red, green and blue. If I had the chance to return it, I would and purchase and another new one.
Thoughts and prayers 🙏🏽Fingers crossed! Only 10 days until the replacements arrive so it's not too bad!
That’s not good. Maybe worse?Request to change new device, but apple just change my screen.

That is probably the worst green I've seen so far.. Sorry that you are having to deal with thisRequest to change new device, but apple just change my screen.

Keep up the good work and keep us posted. 🤣My local Apple store received new Pro Maxes today, so I cancelled my online orders and dashed in store to pick up a couple. One has a pretty noticeable red tint and makes the screen look muddy and the other has a slight red tint on the right. Really cba going through more devices as there's no guarantee, and I don't want to keep going until the iPhone 14 😂
Photo below shows two Pro Maxes next to a 13 Pro - the Pro's screen is better but I love the PM's bigger size, so I'm really undecided...

Yea at this point, most will have some slight variance with the tint one way or another. Chances are very slim to get a unicorn. Someone should direct Lynn Anderson to the internet.
Greetings from Germany! This is my first post so hello to you all. Since I‘m no native speaker, I hope you all can understand my English. I just got my iPhone 13 Pro Max and saw a little issue that bothers me and I just want to know if this is normal with this years iPhones. I didn’t notice the issue on my old iPhone 11 Pro Max. So here we go:
I noticed a small darker bar left and right from the notch. It has exact the hight of the notch and I notice it on fullscreen. Saw it first when checking the 5% greyscale. And it’s barely visible on Netflix Marco Polo Season 1, Part 3 from minute 47. Since I‘m not able to take a picture of it because I sold my old phone, I just found a photo here in this thread with exact the same issue I try to tell you here. I took the photo and painted it with some red marks so I hope you understand what I‘m trying to say. I hope it was okay that I took the photo from another member in this thread. Does anyone else of you has this issue? Is it normal? Hope you can help me out. Thanks!
I finally managed doing a photo with 5% greyscae and 0% brightness. There you can see the grey bars from the notch left and right.yes it is, do not worry

I can understand you that it’s frustrating to have such display in your new phone. But I can assure you, that it’s normal. In normal usage case you can’t even see this. Most of these oled displays have some color tint. Every year is the same. I do not recommend playing the lottery game. You don’t know what you get next time. I did it with my iPhone 11 Pro Max when it came out and went through 6!!!! exchanges. Every phone had different flaws. Some of them had scratches, one had a broken displayglas. But ALL of them had different flaws with the oled display. Non of them had a perfect display. I finally gave up and kept the last one.I couldnt resist and tried what yall did. There is a harsh red tint on the top left side. Using it even at brightness lower than 40% was still noticeable. Went into genius bar and they could not follow simple instructions. I explained that it was only noticeable in a dimly light room similar to using it in bed, the lady goes and run a test on the display and says there is nothing wrong while fully ignoring what I just explained and how to replicate the issue. Refused to even try to bring it in the back. Got a refund instead and re-ordered online hoping it will be better.
I wonder if ordering online and not watching the stock level at my local store produce better results. Funny enough, a few hours after I returned my phone, I see the exact same color and storage model back in stock listed as "1 left available".
Hope you get good luck like me! It was worth the time and hassle for at least one replacement, especially as someone who uses their phone in the dark all the time.I couldnt resist and tried what yall did.
