I find comparisons between Android and iOS boring at this point.

Android has its advantages, and iOS has its advantages. Both have been looking to the other to introduce new features.

It is true that Android gets more new features than the iPhone, however, many times these new features are unpolished, and in the end, more than an addition it is a disadvantage, since the user experience is not perfect.

Apple brings out everything it takes out quite tested (sometimes less tested than it should, but it is not usual). And that makes everything you do with the phone you do well, even if it does not have 120hz or does not have some other feature.

It is true that the iPhone 12 does not equip the 120hz screen seems negative to me, since all high-end Android smartphones carry them, and it is something that should have been present in the Pro models. However, not having it does not make the user experience worse than with a Galaxy smartphone, for example.

In the end, it's a personal thing, I use iOS and macOS because I like their integration, it's simple to use, and for my day-to-day use of my devices it suits me better than having a Windows computer and an Android smartphone. But Windows and Android have their advantages, which the Apple ecosystem does not allow.
pretty much

apple's ecosystem is un-matched for me and as tempting as android phones are and they are great apple ecosystem is too good for me to go away from the iPhone as my daily. both are great but apple simply provides more with more products.

I doubt Apple would do this, since they are seemingly concern to performance degradation when bringing new feature to older hardware, especially the under powered ones such as iPhone 5 and 6 compared to their 5S and 6S older siblings back in their days.

Well, admittedly the 3a can only take up to 90 seconds exposure when doing Astrophoto, while the Pixels 4-5 with better chips can go up to 4 minutes I think. So it somewhat effects the result, but not by much. The main thing is that it's there, on a budget smartphone. And you're right, Apple would never do this because they have a very strict and unforgiving feature segregation both from one generation to the next and between price points.

At this point flagship iPhone has largely caught up with Pixel in terms of photography. However there is no Apple (or Android for that matter) equivalent to Pixel's budget a-line, which basically gives you flagship camera experience for 1/2 or even 1/3 the price.

Looking forward to seeing how iPhones astrophoto comes out, and if they bring it to the ultra wide camera. Google did and then disabled it after a month or so much to everyone's dismay.

Now you got me curious about Pixel phones once again 😅
Maybe I’ll look for used one.

For those iPhone 11 Pro/Max owners that haven’t upgraded yet, waiting for September for the 12s/13 seems like an increasingly good choice...

Yeah no, I’ve seen that one years ago, that is an old model for the old outdated iPads. I mean it was great for it’s time. But I’m asking for an updated version that works with current iPads. Something that works exactly like the Magic Keyboard. It’s just crazy that no one has done it yet.

iOS is not "better" than Android, it is more sticky due to Apple owning iMessage, AirPods and other things but that doesn't make it better.

I'm already saving up for an iPhone 12s/13 Pro or Pro Max, & I've had a Samsung Galaxy S8 phone for 4 years now.

Curious how the S8 holding out for that long?
My sister has S9+. Holding pretty well, it’s just I noticed the battery leak during standby is pretty severe.

Yeah, I had to once replace the battery not too long ago because it was wearing out.

My husband has had the note 8 since October 2017. He has no intention of upgrading.

Ah but 4 years is pretty normal for battery worn out.
My sister‘s S9+ battery health is still normal, but the drainage over night is pretty bad.

Almost got one to replace my iPhone 6 on the release date, but ended up replacing the 6 battery and holding another 2 years for my current 12 mini.
Note 8 was pretty awesome when released.

I don’t know how he’s using the same phone for so long. Since then I’ve had the iPhone X, Xs max, 11 pro max, 12 pro max and even managed to try out the S9+ and note 10+ for a few weeks.
