Maybe it is a cultural thing, but here bragging is considered very bad behaviour. People will not get jealous, but instead think very badly of you. They will think that with bragging you need to compensate something like a small... or a small brain. The most embarrassing thing are cases that even have a cutout to keep the logo visible to other people.

At cars hiding logos makes less sense, as the car is recognizable anyway. What I hate about logos though is that they are basically an ad that targets other people without giving the owner a compensation in return. And yes, I usually try to get rid of logos on clothes. The problem through is that those logos often are sewn to the clothers in a way that if you just cut them off, the whole thing would fall apart. Getting rid of Nike logos on shoes is very hard. If yould cut them off, the whole shoe will fall apart, because the stitches that attach the logo also hold the shoe together. And even overpainting does not really work, as the logo sticks out.

And of course I would also hide the logo of a toaster if the toaster came from a brand that other people brag with.

The logo fetish of Apple fanboys really feels like a religious cult. Some people feel special if other people see that they own an Apple product. It reminds me at the time at school when some kids were proud to earn a Levi's jeans. Bacj then I thought if a jeans already is good for bragging, those people must be very poor. The same is true with Apple products. Bragging is always bad, but if you even brag with something that only costs a few hundred or few thousand dollars, that actually lowers your social status instead of increasing it. Would a REALLY rich person brag with a phone?
Yes it’s global cultural thing among all nations.
Look,It’s not about pretending to be reach and showing off at all,it’s about being proud of what people enjoy and love.
The same way fans of sports teams wear their logo shirt.
If it’s a likeable, beautifully crafted and high quality item, people like to show their interest and support,be it a car,a phone,a brand of clothing or whatever.
It’s human nature.
That’s all.

I’ve got a clear silicone Apple case on my 11, want the same for a 14. The phone color comes thru, and it’s protected the phone perfectly from more drops to hard floors than I’d like to admit

Supporting a sports team is different from bragging with something you own. Modesty is a positive character trait.

If somebidy really identifies with Apple like with a sports team, that pretty much confirms that Apple is a kind of sect.
