I‘d hazard a guess that *where* you are—how good the cellular and wifi signal are, etc—has a big influence as well.

And of course display brightness.

And if you use your 120Hz screen constantly, e.g. by continually scrolling through web pages or social media, the gpu has to work somewhat hard, while on static screen content or low(er) frame rate videos, the graphics subsystem can reduce the display refresh rate, saving energy. Plus a white text page makes the OLED use more power than a dark(ish) video.

My battery is awful always in dark mode

So you keep saying, constantly. How about you upload an image of your battery/app usage? Maybe somebody can help narrow down what is using yours?
OP sent me one, to be honest with you it seemed quite average for an iPhone 14 Pro Max. 7 and a half hours of active screen time. Which to me is pretty good imo.

It’s 7 and half hours of screen on time I used it when charging which means only 5 hours of screen on time and I have the regular 14 pro not the max

Please stop sugar-coating the devices. It’s a fact that they are inferior in terms of battery life.

a) my post was not judging the iPhone‘s quality at all, neither positively nor negatively, simply looking at factors that can make it worse for some users, which may explain differences.

b) of course they’re bad. They’re very slim devices with lots of computing power and bright screens. The energy to support that has to come from somewhere. Apple is using roughly the same kind of battery tech as everyone else, and the rest of their tech stack is already pretty energy efficient in comparison. But a certain capacity only goes so far, there’s no cheating physics.

Am I annoyed they keep prioritizing looks and „slimness“ over functionality? You bet I am. I‘ve been saying that for over a decade, since they started trying to get MBPs overly thin.
But that’s unfortunately what many people want.

You have no idea what your talking about the 13 pro max had the best better life out of any phone I’ve ever seen period, the 14 deities fumble the bag because Apple preys on the weak

your graph shows considerably more than three or four hours you are constantly claiming you are getting

no its not ebcause its shwoing the screen time from the last 24 hours and it says 8-9 hours because I'm using the phone when charging for 3 of those hours so its 4-5 hours of screen on time

Okay so how are other peoples graphs helping you sort the situation? You have seen the battery usage for maybe a dozen different people and you're not happy with yours. So what's the point?

im collected all the screenshots to show apple, that something is wrong with their products

Nothing is wrong with their products. Maybe something is wrong with yours but that doesn't mean everyone has a problem.

And this has been clearly demonstrated to you multiple multiple multiple multiple times here.

Seriously, for your sake and ours, please stop and just deal directly with Apple. I am absolutely sympathetic if there is genuinely an issue with yours because at this kind of money they should be perfect. If you paid via credit card you can also get some help from them. Oh and if you haven't already, make sure everything is backed up and fully reset your phone.
