Bought the 14 Pro Max on launch day, had the camera shaking glitch and so took it back last Monday, was given a brand new unit.
Took the new one home, set it up as new and the phone was getting so hot I was afraid it’s going to explode, and I wasn’t even using it when it was overheating, restarting and resetting didn’t help, took it back a second time and again was given a brand new unit this morning.
And guess what?
The brand new phone doesn’t like to be charged and starts making all sorts of noises when connected to mains!!!!
That’s it for me, I think Apple just rushed into releasing the iPhone 14 without proper quality control.
I will just stick to my iPhone 12 Pro Max and will get the iPhone 15 next year and will keep my €1600 for another year.

Should have kept the first one and waited for then update, or for the third party apps to be updated. With the second one… setting up and indexing is well known to cause the devices to heat up.

Your lucky Apple even had stock available to give you multiple exchanges.

Millions are happy with their new iPhones, I find it almost impossible for you to receive three faulty devices.

No reason for me to make up such a thing!
Impossible or not, it did happen.
We have a corporate account with Apple and have been a loyal customer for years, our account manager suggested that I take the phone in the first time when my camera started acting up as I didnt want to wait to have a new unit sent out to me!
And for your information, Apple always reserves more than enough units for their corporate account holders!

Nah, I never liked Android and have been an iPhone user since the beginning!
Are you on Apple payroll?
Like it or not, this is what has happened to me and my personal experience with the iPhone this year.
Just get your iPhone replaced and move on. Sorry you had problems but it happens, just bad when it happens to you. Long ago I bought a iPhone that would not turn on and Apple replaced instantly.

I had not idea you were a corporate account holder, WOW! LOL!

With the iPhone 5 launch there was Scuffgate. One user at the time reported going through six or seven brand new iPhones inside the Apple store before Apple finally forced him to choose one from those already opened.

One story about Scuffgate in a thread that that grew to a merged thread about 600-800 187 pages.

Possible, yes. Likely, I don't know.

Sounds like poor quality control by the vendor that built the phones. The poor quality control reflects poorly on Apple.

I‘m going to need a link for that😂

Apparently I’m not the only one experiencing this, another poster just posted in a different thread having the exact same issue!
