It would be much cooler if Apple invents camera pop up from the top or flip up from the back so front screen would be full and beautiful.

So it will be even heavier? It’s already a brick!
I'm with you -- once the rounded edges of the prior versions disappeared, the iPhone already started to feel less pocketable (at least, if one wants to remain at least somewhat stylish). This would make that even worse. Personally, I would be willing to trade some battery life for a more manageable device size/shape.

13 Pro ~7 oz
13 PM ~8.4 oz
If battery life is extended due to a larger battery and being slightly heavier (1~2 oz), so be it.

Watch for people to complain about the relatively measly weight when it’s the size that’s awkward.
Then there’ll be lots of other people repeating the same thing said similarly about the iPhone 13 P/M’s weight… you need to work out if you find that weight heavy.

Don’t really need ‘always on’ display especially when the device isn’t used and just lying on a table or in one’s pocket or something. Have the option to turn off that feature.

Larger battery yay, AOD, nay nay. I never use it on my AW7.
Yeah, I don’t see the appeal of always on either, unless you’re a show-off. First, you may like the feeling of a new device (AW6, in my case). This will or won’t last (maybe you’ll be too lazy to change it).
For me, a week after using AW6 common sense kicked in and I disabled it. Was the same with Samsung phones in the past.

Nice to have a larger battery and AOD.. Just hope there's no issues with the correct time being shown not just when you "wake up" the phone. Apple Watch had the issue with lagging time displaying until you lifted your wrist to look at the screen for much too long

I've seen this done by another company. While it looks cool, generally moving part is not a good idea, especially phones with unibody.

Better batteries is to the tech industry what gasoline was to the fuel industry. For decades, we should have had cars running on 100/200MPG fuel efficiency, but there was clearly an artificial halt put on any advancements for the sake of profits on the part of big oil. Likewise, our phones should be able withstand daily use for years on end, but alas, that wouldn't be very good for business, now would it? Battery health near 100% after fives years of heavy use? Not good.

What about the wrist issues though? They are already too heavy to hold for long periods.
I've developed a TFCC (wrist cartilage) injury that already makes holding my 14PM a chore. Sad thing is that I can't tell whether it's from the repetitive stress of holding my phone or from lifting weights. (I do have "girly wrists," as a guy) I don't think I can downgrade to a smaller screen though. I truly don't need my phone to last two freakin days or anything. I've had every single iPhone since launch, and never wished one had better battery life -- I, like most others, am camped at a desk with a charger 90% of my day. Those who wander around or need to be charger-less most of the day can add a battery case. I would literally be happy with a phone with half the battery life and significantly lighter. (but specced the same otherwise) When I'm out and about, I can carry a slim battery/battery case.

You don’t actually need a bigger battery to accommodate for the AOD on the 14 series. Refresh rates of 1Hz and the improved efficiency of the A16s alone could make up for any loss due to AOD. All they have to do is aim for the same stellar battery life as the 13 series regardless of the AOD and claim it as progress.

Despite the cosmetic upgrades and rumored camera increase and now the battery I am still going to sit still with my 13 Pro Max. The battery life on this phone is beautiful.

If I get an iPhone 14 Pro, I’ll probably disable the always on feature after testing it for a few days (or hours) and get a little more battery life instead.

Love the always on on my Apple Watch 7 but maybe not so much for the iPhone because it’s in my pocket during non use. I intent to turn off that feature most of time and I’m just wondering how much battery life will I really save?

This is great news for the those of us that won't use AOD. If AOD really is that big of a drain and we leave it off, this larger battery should give us even longer life.
