so quality control is still an issue?I don’t have any yellow tint however, I do have a pretty significant blue hue shift at any minor angle and compared to my wife’s 14 Pro and my previous 13 Pro, it’s very noticeable. I will be swapping this one out.
No I don’t thinkso. My 13P was perfect and so was my wife’s 13P and 14P. So far, I’ve seen no other posts about screen issues so I think mine just has a problem, which, is not an uncommon characteristic of OLED. So one dud out of millions is definitely not something I would call a quality control issue.so quality control is still an issue?
this was a problem with the 12 pro and 13 pro a huge issue so I'm not surprised if its backNo I don’t thinkso. My 13P was perfect and so was my wife’s 13P and 14P. I’m pretty sure it’s within Apple’s tolerances, so not a quality control issue technically. Personally I haven’t seen an iPhone OLED display I’m 100% satisfied with yet, there’s a spectrum from okay-ish/tolerable to quite tinted/nonuniform.so quality control is still an issue?
There is significant variation in human perception. I conducted some tests with colorimeters on iPhone displays myself, which showed that the OLED displays are quite accurate to the standard (at least in the middle of the display when viewed at 90° angle, and within the accuracy of the sensors and filters), but to my eyes they still had some tint. Also, different devices (same model) differ in brightness, contrast, and tint. I tried four different 12 mini when they came out, and am currently deciding between two 13 mini with slightly different tint and contrast.I always find it fascinating how many people insist their screens are bad, but iphones have consistently scored near or at the top of the dozens of calibration and testing site rankings.
I think that’s kinda my point. Threads about a potentially mishandled screen quality seem really to be more about perception, not the screens being flawed. There is significant variation in human perception. You are surprised? This will happen with every phone release until we just insert computers into our brains. 😂We really doing this again?
Then people will be uploading pictures of their eyeballs, comparing the jaundice between the previous year’s iBallPhone 23 on the left and the current year’s iBallPhone 24 on the right. You are surprised? This will happen with every phone release until we just insert computers into our brains. 😂
here we goWell, I’ve noticed my screen seems to be a little bit uneven, like the top part is a bit more yellow than the bottom. My partner says he can’t see it.
Honestly from your photo there, I can't even see it as well.Well, I’ve noticed my screen seems to be a little bit uneven, like the top part is a bit more yellow than the bottom. My partner says he can’t see it.
