View attachment 2088090So I try to take a pic of my iPhone 14 Pro Max to show a bit on the uneven screen. I don’t know if this pic shows what I’m talking about. But the top is a little warmer than the bottom.
Hard to see from a pic, but what you’re describing is pretty typical, with oled depending on the angle you may see a bit more tint top or bottom, but if you’re looking straight on and it looks good, keep it. This one looks to be a keeper.

Is True Tone on?

Is it me or does 14PM lottery seem better than 14 pro on average this go round?
I think the 14pm lottery is better, the bad ones seem more rare, at least all of the display models I’ve seen as well as friends phones have been good. Pinkish, yes, but even. I think slight pink came with newer tech introduced in the 13pm and is normal

I took a few more pics. All with the True Tone off. And I also used that dark gray background to test the uniformity.

My first 14 Pro had a really bad display, super dull and very yellow. Returned it and replaced it and my new 14 Pro has a chefs kiss perfect display. Worth the return if it's bothering you.

If you get a good panel don’t mess around imo

Odds are you’ll go down a rabbit hole you wish you hadn’t

Looks good to me too, probably even better with TT off

TT uniformity I don’t consider a thing
This 1000%. I don't know what it is about iPhones, but they bring out serious screen OCD traits in me. Stopped the madness starting with 12 Pro series and limit myself to 3 phones max now. 12 Pro Max had an odd boot up issue where the Apple logo + screen flashed and started up at max brightness, I returned twice thinking it was hardware but ended up being software. 13 Pro was perfect on 1st try, 14 Pro Max did 1 exchange and done.
I took a few more pics. All with the True Tone off. And I also used that dark gray background to test the uniformity.
It looks good and I'd keep it if it was me.

Are you bothered by your screen at all? If not, definitely keep it.
I mean, I can kind of see it sometimes, if I’m looking for it, but at this point I just rather keep it. Don’t want to play the screen lottery. Maybe I’ll have the screen replaced down the road.

Here's my iPhone 14 Pro Max next to my iPhone X. First image is a 50% gray image. Screen uniformity seems okay but the yellow tint is really surprising me. Is this normal? By the way, of course, true tone is off on both devices.

For me the older phone looks more 'natural'. But I think that's a matter of taste.

But don't forget when using grey - grey isn't going into yellow/green or red... It's RGB with all the same levels. So a nearly black grey image is for example 20 of 255 red, 20 of 255 green and 20 of 255 blue.

I've always had bad lucks with my phones. 11 pro max, 12 pro max, 13 pro max then 14 pro. They all have yellow tint. My wife's phones are always perfect. Weird. Top is my wife's 14 pro max, bottom is my 14 pro.

Yes haven’t experienced the yellow tint you’re referring to unless I had Night Shift on which I no longer use.

Hopefully someone else who experienced that could give you a solution if one exists. Glad it’s not as bad your 12 Pro.

The most interesting thing just occurred. I normally have truetone enabled. I’m currently outside in a shady area and sim is out. Turned truetone off, and the whites got yellower 😳
