Anyone else seeing really horrible GPS location tracking with new 14 Pro Max? Just drive home from work and the thing didn’t once know where I was. It’s quite annoying to be honest.

Just checked mine and my GPS on my 14 PM locked on quicker that I have ever experienced.

Yes!! Just used it on my 14PM with iOS 16.1 and it was horrendous! Came here to see if anyone else was having this issue. What is going on???

Honestly not sure. Trying to figure it out myself. Not sure if it’s something with restore or what. Used to do them all brand new but restored this one.

It could be your network also . Or maybe even the eSim good luck keep us posted please .

This one supposedly has now better gps technology to more precise location so it is strange

I just did a network reset so maybe that’ll help. Not in the car but will test in a bit.

Same issue on 14 pro with 16.1… it’ll not lock on to location and it keeps jumping around.

Yeah, network reset did not work and same happened with google maps.

Count me in as also having the issue. Those having the issue, are we all on 16.1? About to restore back to release version if that’s the case.

Same here. 16.1 with 14 pro.
Same issue. Can’t locate my self with either google map or apple map. I almost got into an accident while I was driving because of this. Thanks, Apple !

I am on 16.1 but 16.1 on my 13 Pro Max has zero issues. Here’s two videos. One is 13 Pro Max on 16.1. Second is new 14 Pro Max on 16.1.

I also transferred phone to phone after years of setting up as new. I will restore back to 16.0.1 in a couple of hours and report back if that helps at all.

It would save me a lot of time if somebody with a 16.0.1 Pro Max reported this issue. Ha

I think you can see which is the 14 Pro due to the Dynamic Island. Point still is that it’s jacked and seems a lot of them are.

Same here! On a bike ride, something I did frequently with my 13 pro max and it just erratically move around. Also on 16.1 beta

Just chiming in. iPhone 14 pro, 16.1 beta & GPS is completely unusable. Waiting patiently to see if going backwards helps anyone.

I used mine today with no GPS issues. Tracked just as well as with my previous phone. I was using Apple Maps.
