Anyone else seeing really horrible GPS location tracking with new 14 Pro Max? Just drive home from work and the thing didn’t once know where I was. It’s quite annoying to be honest.

Well at least we know it’s a 16.1 beta issue and not a hardware issue which is reassuring, but still annoying.

I reported in detail with video the issue through the feedback app. Everyone else please do the same. Hopefully they fix it quickly.

Oh it was all panic last night haha. Had a tee time quickly approaching at a golf course I’ve never been to. Luckily my watch was able to get me there lol. Just talking about the phone in the worst ways all the way there and back. It telling me to “get on the toll road” when I’ve been on it for 5 minutes.

That’s what I’m banking on. Downgrading seems like a huge PIA at this point. As long as everyone reports it on feedback I would assume they’ll get an update out.

I’m going to wait it out because safari seems snappier on 6.1. /s

I reset my phone yesterday (thinking it wasn’t a widespread issue) and when that didn’t work I was like….well what now.

And then I found this forum this morning and while I’m partly relieved that I’m not the only one…I need them to fix it! Lol.

Same issue on 14 pro with 16.1… it’ll not lock on to location and it keeps jumping around.

mine is working perfectly, tested with waze and google maps 16.1 beta1

So… seeing as everybody that’s complaining about this is on the 16.1 beta, I’d assume you’re all using the feedback tool to report it to Apple? 16.0.1 working like a charm for 6 hours of gps for me.

Same problem for me - iPhone 14 Pro Max and 16.1 beta, GPS terrible. Downgraded to 16.0.1 and the problem does not exist. A real pain to downgrade since it will not restore from a backup made with 16.1.

To those who have it it’s with every gps program it seems. Also compass.
