same here beta 16.1 on my iPhone 14 Pro Max, GPS bug issues, I'll wait for update.

This is probably a dumb question but since I’m going to wait this out, can I run Maps on my Series 7 watch for directions independent of my 14 pro?
It worked on Friday and failed miserably on Sunday. Hope you have better luck with the watch than I did. Just assuming GPS life is done until a fix.

Yeah, didn't work for me. Oh well, I guess I'm back to printing out directions on MapQuest for the time being. Time to break into my stash of Crystal Pepsi to complete the circle.

I’m an Amazon Delivery Driver using the Amazon Flex app running iOS 16.1 and have issues with GPS navigation. I thought it could be the phone so I did a hard reboot, network reset, uninstalled and reinstalled the app to no avail, but oddly enough Apple Maps and Google Maps all work flawlessly so it’s safe to assume that it’s an Amazon Flex app issue not an iOS 16.1 issue.

Disregard what I said above. The first time I used Apple Maps it worked flawlessly. Just now while navigating to a different location it messed up so I’m inclined to now believe it’s an iOS 16.1 issue and will report feedback to Apple.

On friday when I got my 14 Pro Max, my dumbass immediately upgraded to iOS 16.1 instead of applying 16.0.1 and realized my GPS was broken on my 2 hour drive. I was gone all weekend and had to fix my phone when I had free time.

Funny thing is I assumed 16.0.1 fixes for the iPhone 14* would be in iOS 16.1 Public Beta but obviously they werent. I couldnt even DFU my phone cause its so new and this is with a fully updated macOS Monterey install. But thankfully I was able to recovery mode restore to 16.0.1 and my GPS was fixed immedaitely.

Good news is, this is some of the best GPS connection ive ever had on ANY phone. I was in the country with barely any cell reception and my GPS locked on immediately. Usually when im in an area where even cell reception is spotty, GPS takes a bit to lock on but not this time.

Its great to read that some people didnt have issues going to 16.1 but I am definitely in the "i ****ed myself" camp

Restored my 14PM back to iOS 16.0.1. Set up as new, and I can confirm the issue was resolved.

Can't restore my backup from 16.1b1, so unfortunately I must go back to 16.1b1 for the time being. Will report if the issue returns once it's done setting back up.
how did you do this. iphone 14 pro. ios 16.1 google maps almost got me into an accident because showed me the exit 2 seconds before i had to take it. (after i already missed the last 2 exits because it never updated and a 15min ride had now already become 30 so i was desperate to take the last exit).

I’m going to be restoring back to 16.0.1 in an hour or so, but my man, I would not update a device to beta if your job depends on the device! I know easier said than done and all, haha.
Agree this would be one of the few times I would say stay on live.

Anyone having issues with the Waze speedometer jumping around? When I set my cruise control to 70, the Waze speedo will jump around between 65-69 continuously. When I watch my dot on Google Maps, it seems to stop and stutter fairly often. 14 Pro Max, UK.
