iPhone 14 Pro Models Ordered From Apple Today Unlikely to Arrive in Time for Christmas in the US

Why do gifts have to be given out on special occasions? I never understood this.

Growing up, when I wanted or needed something. I just got them right away. Like a DSLR, etc. I never received any birthday or holiday gifts of value other than envelopes of cash.

You can get them through carriers with out a problem. What is it with Apple never making enough for their own stock? Something is a miss every year as it’s always the same thing buying from them directly.

With the exception of my Google Pixel 4A that came out in 2020, I've never bothered to buy something when it was first released, and I'm glad I don't (the P4A was readily available! :cool: :) ). It's nice to see if potential discounts will occur (which pleasant surprise, some of their midrange phones have gotten those a year later!)

I know some people who didn't blink in spending $8K for Mac hardware and software, but they wouldn't gift something like a $1K phone (unless it was for themselves). One concern is if they would really like it or not (nm being weird about such expensive gifts).
 
I guess I'll consider myself lucky based on this article. I walked into my local AT&T store this past Friday and walked out with a 256GB 14 Pro, Space Black. Was looking to do the 128, but with a $4.00 price spread after trade in, it seemed like a no-brainer. Traded-in a 11 Pro.
 
Glad my Jitterbug Flip2 is still flawless! You don't know true serenity until you untether yourself from texting and just about everything else un-iPhone like! :p

FWIW yesterday I ordered a “back ordered” 14 Pro Max from Verizon in the US that they estimated would ship by Dec 9. Got a tracking number today and it will be here tomorrow.

So… shop around. Plenty out there it seems.

even my wife's 14 pro is now delayed. I ordered this in UK on 2nd november and got an e-mail stating it has now been delayed. I just hope it's here before Christmas
 
Seems order dates now for most 14PM models are in JANUARY now… ebayers are going to have a field day this Christmas.

They only have a field day because you get foolish people with no willpower paying the prices to please their precious child who wants a new phone as they've smashed the current one.
