iPhone 14 Pro Models Rumored to Feature Slightly Larger Screen Sizes

People want, require and need ~6" screen sizes. Anything else is mostly irrelevant, hence why no one is interested in selling small displays anymore.
The point is to justify cargo pants.

yep people like to use their phone for long parts of their day. some only use their phone so want as much screen as possible.
Only very small increase. But this might cause an issue with cases designed for iPhone 13. Though not a major redesign with circular volume button and flat back, pill+hole cut out will be different.
It's been mentioned earlier in the thread, but the camera island is significantly larger. Old cases will not work.
What practical physical limit is there to making bigger phones? We're already past the point of being able to use phones with one hand or fit them into pockets.
Lol, yeah dude. The same size as a Mini's screen, with a body as large as the standard iPhone. Definitely apples to apples here

Despite the histrionics of sites like MacRumors, the Mini sold millions of units. The Mini is only a failure by Apple standards, which is a ridiculous metric for a relatively niche device to have to live up to.
Yah dude. The market has spoken.
The people that want small and high end just are a vocal and very, very, very small minority.

Has the market really spoken when 97-99% of phones on the market are over 6 inches? When you have one or two choices for small phones and 97 choices for larger phones, does the average consumer even know they have a choice?
I'll never understand the people who seem to get joy from other people not having things they want. So weird
I don’t get any joy out of it…I’m simply tired of hearing a very loud minority beat a dead horse until Apple finally acquiesced (which surprises me to no end), give the loud minority what they want and then have them complain about it that it wasn’t this or that (too expensive, not Pro, not a Pro enough, battery life, needs more cameras), all the while having zero grasp of the technical challenges, market and marketing realities that put this form factor out to pasture a while ago. And then denying those realities trying to drag us into their distortion field. Even now this tiny minority cannot accept the reality. So I don’t get joy, but I do get some satisfaction that after Apple gave you what you wanted, it still wasn’t enough because the reality is that only a few were willing to put their money where their big damn yappy mouth’s were and actually buy the thing while the loud mouths who weren’t going to buy it for whatever excuse they could find seemed to have crawled back under their rocks. Hopefully, Apple
figured this out and doesn’t waste time catering to the tiny minority that is all talk and no action. They make this forum an exhausting place to visit.
Please don’t waste my time with hypothetical silly absurdities. The market has found the upper limit and has stayed within those confines for the past 6-7 years with few exceptions.
Apple gave us the mini. People didn't buy it. Apple actually had to decrease manufacturing volumes of the mini multiple times actually, according to supply chain analysts.
IOW, even though Apple aimed low with their targets for the mini, demand still failed to meet those low targets.
That's not a practical physical size limit, just what people have bought. There's no reason not to go bigger, since surely people will want bigger screens.
Ok? And I'm tired of hearing an even louder minority complain about people wanting smaller phones. You got what you wanted - the Mini is dead. Who's beating the dead horse, dude?
So going from 6.68 inch to 6.69 inch is a "tablet in the making"?. It might not even be visible to the naked eye.

Thanks to MR I’ve converted to the bigger is better movement, I recently dumped my little sedan for a big ass SUV and I love it.
we should go to Porsche forums and keep posting “no one is small 2 seat sports cars, everyone is buying SUVs, they should stop making the Boxster It’ll be fun! ?

Plenty of forum users here have expressed their opinions about smaller phones and have done so in good faith to be met with sarcasm and derision from the small phone minority. Those people don’t keep commenting after a while. It’s simply a provable truth based on how the market has evolved since the intro of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. At that time Apple was constantly ridiculed for not offering a larger iPhone when Android was getting bigger every month that went by. Apple gave customers what they wanted, the market shifted in September 2014 and has coalesced around larger screen phones in the industry as a whole. Why is this so difficult for the small phone people to accept as reality?!?!
Don’t be obtuse. There is a practical physical limit going up in size and down in size based on a composite average of physical human anatomy of the hand.
As far as I know, giants do not roam the earth so a 20” iPhone isn’t a practical item for those of us living in this reality. I have no idea what reality you are living in currently and I prefer not to know.
This is why I stopped upgrading. I have all these cool cases that become useless and I really like Baltic Blue.
