In portrait mode, the notch doesn't bother me much (although I don't like the fact I can't get the battery percentage indicator). However, in landscape mode while watching some videos, I find it really irritating.

The landscape mode exclamation point would still be irritating, but at least it would be better than the notch.

That's not even a problem for me because I prefer to watch videos with the black boarders on the side, if you watch videos full screen on the iPhone it crops the top and bottom of the video. That's more of an issue with the aspect ratio.

Yes, it depends on the video in question, but if it's a super wide aspect ratio movie, then the black bars are on the top and bottom.

I quite like it. I don't like the circular cut-out on its own, but with the pill shape it doesn't look bad at all. It could be the new "signature" look for iPhones, endlessly mocked by Samsung for three months until they introduce their new model that uses the exact same look.

I think in the end, what we'll see is a wider "pill" punch hole to accommodate all the sensors, including the Face ID sensors.

Just keep the notch Apple... No one cares except for a few people who complain about every single thing you do anyway... i.e. Ports on the MacBook pro and their burning desire to see skeumorphism return to ios... The notch literally disappears into obsolescence on both the Macbook Pro and iPhone Pro Max... no one spends hours looking at the top of their screen... NO ONE

Moreover, I seriously doubt Apple would bring a Notch to it's highest-end Macbook in order to erase it from its highest-end iPhone. After just shrinking the notch this iteration, I'm willing to bet that we'll go one more generation with the Notch-mini also these renders don't account for the speaker assembly which Apple would definitely want to be symmetrical to the notch-pill...
