Ordered the midnight leopard yesterday! Had it on my 11, think it will look awesome with the purple 14.

LOL that’s what I wound up ordering! The clears aren’t out yet, and I don’t do well with waiting. Lol

If the clear glitter is available soon, I might order it and return the leopard, but I also think the midnight leopard will look awesome with the purple.

I got the ink. Looks great and helps stabilise the back of the phone a bit. Will end up naked for most of its life but nice to use whilst travelling and on holidays.

Got the exact same one on my 14PM. I had the same on my 13PM also.
Not a single scratch on the phone after one year using it.
Downside is the sides will eventually turn yellow.
Good to hear about the protection but a bummer about the yellowing. At least these are about half the cost of the Apple cases so buying two within the course of the year until the next iPhone releases I’d come out the same.

I ordered the new cotton candy one! It’ll be here Wednesday! I’m sure I’ll order another over the next year. I always have at least two. I especially love their holiday plaids.

I took a closer look at the spigen MagSafe ultra hybrid. The magnet part is thick and bumpy compared to Apple Original ones, so I’m a little nervous it could somehow scratch the phone, but decided to give it a go.

I do like it. It’s a lot smoother than the previous models. I’ve always liked spigen ultra hybrid in particular; sturdy, perfect fit, protective. I’d use non MagSafe version if I didn’t have a MagSafe wallet. It’s better than white ring for sure. They eventually turn yellowish but for $20 I’m not worried.

No case here. I can’t stand cases, and in all the iPhones I’ve had since 2004, I’ve only gotten a bumper for the 6 (??), which was slippery as all get out.

And I hesitate to tempt fate, but I’ve only dropped it badly enough for a screen replacement once.

14 Pro in Deep Purple, next to 7 Plus in Black, for comparison case-less. Also the Deep Purple in a Spigen Ultra Hybrid Matte Black. I chose the Matte Black so I don't have to worry about yellowing at least on the edges. Once they're available I will likely switch to a PowerSupport Air Jacket in clear matte.

Does the matte black of the Spigen make the purple appear, well, less purple? I know the color changes depending on the lighting and angle. Looks good in your picture, though.

Indoors in less lighting and/or at certain angles the Deep Purple almost looks space grey-ish, with or without this case. I don't think the matte black edges of the Spigen UH case makes much difference how the purple looks, to my eyes. Note that the case is named "Ultra Hybrid Matte Black", but the matte black specifically refers to the black edges of the case only. The back of the case is entirely shiny & clear.

Spigen does have another version of the UH case called Frost Black, I believe the back of that case is more of a smokey matte finish, so maybe that one affects how the color looks through the back of the case. I would have preferred this case came with a clear/matte finish on the back to show less fingerprints, but that combo doesn't seem to exist in this product line

Thanks for clarifying. I was thinking that was the Frost Black, although you clearly did not say that … I agree, a clear/matte back with black edges would be great.

Beautiful!

How often do you swap cases? I’m beginning to wonder how many cases people tend to have or use at any given time.
My previous leather case was pretty much destroyed in a few months from normal usage (in purse with keys etc) so I’ll switch to spigen whenever I go outside.

Have you ever looked into key organizers like OrbitKey or KeySmarts? they keep your keys tidy, and covered up. And when those things collide with your phone/case, it'll probably be less damaging.
Those look nice!! The most damaging object I had in my purse was dog freeze dried beef treats and my MagSafe wallet got really stabbed that day. Lol
It’s not a bad idea to keep my purse organized… will look into it. Thanks 🙏

No case is the way to go. I don’t use cases since iPhone 6 and I don’t regret it. The design of the phone is something to be fully appreciated.
