Jobs-era iPhones: Less is more.
Cook-era iPhones: More is more.
what you expect a phone to do exactly? all phones basically will do the same thing.People are gonna start abandoning Apple due to boredom. We have been getting more or less the same phone since iPhone X.
I dig the idea of a purple iPhone, but can we just get bright colors on the Pro models? I want a bright purple. Not some faded looking BS.
Sorry, but the Z Fold is not a failed concept. I think Samsung has won so far, it’s a niche category but I’m seeing more and more people with Z folds. A project manager at the same company where I work has one, and I see several from time to time on public transportation. It’s even Bill Gates main phone right now.Apple has always been known to take failed concepts into great products. So while you might not see it now doesn't mean or imply they aren't researching it.
Several articles here on MR have yielded interesting patent applications regarding foldable screens. However, people often want these devices "now", when in reality it often takes years to materialize if they ever do.

Also remember, Samsung is the one that pioneered phablets with the Note before Apple jumped in with the iPhone 6 Plus. In fact it was the pressure of the success from the Note lineup that forced Apple to finally make a bigger phone.
Apple realizes internally there is only so much you can do with the larger phablet design. It’s only a matter of time. They might wait until the 20th anniversary of the iPhone before they introduce their own.
Every time I see my co-worker uses his, I feel a little jealous. I don’t think I want to switch though. I’m so invested in the Apple ecosystem although I recently got a Windows 11 laptop and I use Windows 10 at work everyday.Exactly, not failed at all, both my brother and father have the Z fold and they love it. I also agree with your comment about phablets, Samsung did it successfully first, Apple then entered the game with the Plus models with HUGE bezels and low screen to body ratio.
Generally I'd agree, the Lightning connector is more robust, but unless they expand the Lightning standard (which seems unlikely at this point for a variety of reasons), getting 8K video on and off the phone at anything like a reasonable speed would seem like reason enough to go with USB-C.I really don't get the hatred of the lightning port. You'll be hating USB-C a whole lot more when that connector breaks internally after 6-8 months.
Good thing you could buy like 4 usb c cables for the price of one functioning mfi certified lightning cableI really don't get the hatred of the lightning port. You'll be hating USB-C a whole lot more when that connector breaks internally after 6-8 months.

Who cares about the 10 buck cable? its the thousand dollar phone that is going to need its connector replaced After some moderate use and contamination from being in and out of pockets.Good thing you could buy like 4 usb c cables for the price of one functioning mfi certified lightning cable
true,a port 10 years old is durable enough. Also it have rounder edges so it’s easy to find the right position and plug in easierI really don't get the hatred of the lightning port. You'll be hating USB-C a whole lot more when that connector breaks internally after 6-8 months.
Otherwise anybody will praise Apple when they make the jump to usb c the year after - how convenient ist it now to carry just one cable for MacBook/iPad and iPhone and how much faster the data transfer then will be.I really don't get the hatred of the lightning port. You'll be hating USB-C a whole lot more when that connector breaks internally after 6-8 months.
Apple would make sure the X-Height and Cap-Height are correct.
Not necessarily. I think Apple could design it so the top bezel area that hides the Face ID sensors could be surprisingly small. The top bezel would need to be much bigger to house the Face ID sensors ?
I expect all the notch apologists to set up a wallpaper that restores the notch look.Gone are the days of Apple hiding the notch in some obscure shadow in the wallpaper that only really works in promotional photos.
Now the notch is "gone" and there's nothing left to see but "iPhone" on your iPhone. ?
