I’m just curious if anyone has noticed any screen tint? I definitely feel my iPhone 14 Pro is warmer than my iPhone 12 Pro, but I feel like there is potentially a red/pink tint to it. I also feel like there is some tint running along the left edge that gets worse with a more extreme angle. Just wondering how common this is with new iPhone OLEDs. I know it’s an issue with OLED tvs, in particular LG panels.

My 14 Pro Max has way LESS tint than my 12 Pro Max. My 12 Pro Max has a green tint, something that has always bothered me about it, and hallelujah, my 14 Pro Max has no noticeable green tint and much more closely matches all of my other devices, like my Macs, iPad, and Sony TVs.

Mine is exactly as you have described. It’s annoying, the pinkish hue is common, but some have it much more, like ours. I’ll be exchanging eventually.

How are you exchanging? I got mine from Best Buy and I’m sure they’re going to say there’s nothing wrong with it. I’d like to compare to another IP14P to see if mine is out of the norm. Side by side with my IP12P, the 12 looks more yellow.

Does your screen look warmer than the 12 pro when both have the true-tone disabled ?

Btw I have about 3 oled LG tv’s in home never experienced the pink hue you talked about , do you have a link for that ?

I compared it to all the display models at Best Buy and a friends phone too, none were as bad, and all had even screens with far less red tint. I paid full price from an Apple Store, per apples policy, I have 14 days to exchange, and I don’t have to give a reason as to why. That said, I’m going to go for more storage to make the exchange worthwhile.

Yeah, I notice a very, very slight reddish tint to my 14 Pro- whereas my 13 Pro in comparison was a clean white (admittedly a clean COOL white). I put them side by side and asked my wife- she thinks they are slightly different, but doesn't see one as worse than the other. Not sure if it's a problem or not? I kind of like the clean look to the white on the 13 Pro.

I prefer the crisper white, but if your screen is uniform, as in one side is not darker than the other, even slightly, keep the phone, it’s not a problem, you’ll easily get used to it. It’s when it’s not a uniform color across the screen that I find distracting.

No tint on mine (14 Pro). Tested with various OLED uniformity / gray tests and so. Grays/whites are solid with no tinting - green, pink, red and so. The tone of the display is pretty nice. Super happy, because I'm generally not lucky when it comes to screens.

Will be interesting to see if 14 (vanilla) has issues since they have screens not just from Samsung and LG, but BOE.

14/Plus: Samsung, LG, BOE
14 Pro: Samsung
14 Pro Max: Samsung, LG

from what I'm reading

I’ve always heard Samsung does all the launch phones, but now I’m think I got an lg for sure

I was reading that iPhone 13 Pro(s)/Max got green tint while exposed on low temperatures. Will be interesting with the 14.

My 14 Pro Max looks great. Uniform and a little cooler than my 13 Pro. Also made me realize how bad the green tint on my 13 Pro is at low brightness. Not sure if it was always like that or developed over the last year, but it's very obvious in dark mode. Wondering if I could actually try to get a warranty replacement...

Edit: Was reading that the green tint happens when the phone is cold/unused. That seems to be the case here and why I never really noticed it until I stopped using it. Threw the 13 Pro on a wireless charger to heat it up...and just like that the green is gone!

So green, warranty replacements for sensory issues are very difficult, you’ll go in the super bright Apple Store, the display will go high brightness and look gorgeous, it will be impossible to show what your issue is with the display in that environment, they may even humor you by letting you compare it to other phones, again in that environment, they will look equal and great. And after all that they’ll talk about you in the back if you know what I mean. Lol your 14 pro looks great. But I get it, it is an issue and it’s frustrating because it’s a hard one to qualify warranty work on.

Yea I figured that was the case. That being said, it's actually a non-issue. See my edit above.

That’s interesting, I didn't know the hue would shift with temp changes. Thanks for sharing that info.
