So green, warranty replacements for sensory issues are very difficult, you’ll go in the super bright Apple Store, the display will go high brightness and look gorgeous, it will be impossible to show what your issue is with the display in that environment, they may even humor you by letting you compare it to other phones, again in that environment, they will look equal and great. And after all that they’ll talk about you in the back if you know what I mean. Lol your 14 pro looks great. But I get it, it is an issue and it’s frustrating because it’s a hard one to qualify warranty work on.
Yeah. I think they use the words “customer sensitivity issue “ 😂

How are you exchanging? I got mine from Best Buy and I’m sure they’re going to say there’s nothing wrong with it. I’d like to compare to another IP14P to see if mine is out of the norm. Side by side with my IP12P, the 12 looks more yellow.
well you can just return it you dont have to justify to best buy why you are returning it!

I’m just curious if anyone has noticed any screen tint? I definitely feel my iPhone 14 Pro is warmer than my iPhone 12 Pro, but I feel like there is potentially a red/pink tint to it. I also feel like there is some tint running along the left edge that gets worse with a more extreme angle. Just wondering how common this is with new iPhone OLEDs. I know it’s an issue with OLED tvs, in particular LG panels.
My 14 Pro was calibrated a little warmer than my older devices, but you can adjust the color temp under Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Color Filters > Color Tint. I did that and now have bright whites.

My 14 Pro Max looks great. Uniform and a little cooler than my 13 Pro. Also made me realize how bad the green tint on my 13 Pro is at low brightness. Not sure if it was always like that or developed over the last year, but it's very obvious in dark mode. Wondering if I could actually try to get a warranty replacement...

Edit: Was reading that the green tint happens when the phone is cold/unused. That seems to be the case here and why I never really noticed it until I stopped using it. Threw the 13 Pro on a wireless charger to heat it up...and just like that the green is gone!

Interestent in seeing photos with white background. For me the 14 pro looks better - more reddish than the 13 which goes more into green.

Doing that you lose something from what I know. Some adjustment of the display... so it's not a solution imo.

So what about your displays comparing to the old 12 and 13 pro series?

New iPhone 14 pro more green/yellow or reddish?

For me it’s changing to a red tint coming from 13 pro.

From what i'm reading in general the screens this year are flawless. Also DisplayMate achieved 2300 nits and gave the screen "the best smartphone screen" (again)

My 14 Pro screen is perfect - no banding on gray, no tint at all - green/pink/red, no flickering. Good black levels.

Meanwhile my Note 9 has weird uneven banding on gray colors at 1-2 spots - like darker spots. (not burn-in). With this I mean I know what I'm talking about. I'm not one of those which have zero idea of those issues and say "my is perfect".

I'm kinda display OCD. :D I changed my half year old monitor just for 1 dead green sub-pixel...

My 14 Pro is slightly red compared to my 12P and 12PM.

It’s beautiful, I just was helping a friend on their s22ultra with some configuration and such. Then immediately used my iPhone 14 PM screen and my eyes were so so happy.

Samsung screens are usually oversaturated and flicker more. Apple OLEDS even made by Samsung/LG are way better. Prob the tech/design which they give to Samsung to fabricate.

Update: I returned the iPhone with the faulty display, and purchased another, this one has a uniform display and I’m satisfied with the purchase now.

Could you share some more information or a photo of the new one?
Is it more of a red tint or green?

Hi,

this is 95% black image what you can use to check if it's going more into red or green/yellow tint.

Turn off True tone und check it within a dark environment. Don't turn up brightness to 100% - check with nearly 0% and around 20-50%

That's the best way to compare.

It’s has a a bit red hue to it, but it seems pretty even across the panel, the one I returned was more vibrant/saturated colors, which was actually nice, but it was uneven, so it had to go.

My 14 Pro a little red, too. I think that’s just how they are calibrated. Using the 95% black that @bsmr posted, it seems my 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max are slightly green, even though the whites look whiter than on my 14 Pro.

I had a pretty bad pink tint on the left of my screen. Very noticeable in low light. Wanted to exchange in the Apple Store, however there is literarily 0 stock in store.

Surprisingly they diagnosed the issue in store and replaced it as an AppleCare claim.

Doesn’t really show in pics but it was there.

Yeah it’s noticeable on the second photo.

My 14 pro also has a pink/reddish hue. I think it’s just how they all are. My 12 is extremely yellow/warm in comparison.
