I haven't been excited about an iPhone since the 6s. My 13 pro already does 10x what I need it to do, so I don't even care what apple offers in new models.
The 6 was great! I also loved the 5. The X felt like a breakthrough in form and features. Aside from further refinements or reimplementation of old features (Touch ID?), I don’t see much runway. Foldables seem like they’d start to eat into iPads sales.

I definitely notice whenever Apple releases a new iPhone my bank account gets 10% lower.
so you only have $10000 in your bank account? have a seat over there. We need to work on your finances.

You should not be buying an iphone. May i suggest a burner phone?

I think I will be going from 13 Pro to 15 Pro Max this year.

I have been itching for the bigger device recently so hopefully the slight weight and size reduction will feel good.

The iPhone 15 will reportedly be 1 gram lighter than the iPhone 14.

Everything is rumors until Apple tells us the specs.
I for one would prefer they release specs and prices when the event starts so I can attend to other things…
In the past years, there were no hugely wrong information so few days before the launch. So I guess there will not be any surprises, when they announce the 15 series.

Really? Very unlikely imho. EU regulations would make selling iPhones in the EU impossible.
Frankly speaking I can care less either way. It’s been reported. Who knows could be the EU getting USB-C in the rest of the world Lightning.. We’ll soon find out September 12

The average family in the US has just over $5k of savings in the bank. By that measure, I’m rich b**ch!

when everything gets reduced...it will be noticeable
Just to be clear by "everything reduced" you mean 0.5% & 1% improvements in length and width and nearly as large of a regression in thickness as the weight has improved by? That counts as everything is reduced to you?

I own a 13 Pro and I wouldn't say the new features are not worth the price tag (that's down to each individual) the upgrade is substantial vs the 13 Pro.
I still won't upgrade until the camera bump is gone though.
Never the less a very good upgrade!
Unfortunately, +30 minutes of battery life and abysmal upgrades to the camera aren't worth it for me. When I look at my friend's S23 Ultra, his photos are really good and sharp whilst my iPhone 13 Pro Max does really bad photos, especially in low light conditions.

But the 12 Pro came with a USB-C to a lightning, so there's no reason you can't use your current adapter 😊
4odomi, thank you for your response. It is true my soon to be 3 year old iPhone 12 Pro Max did come with a USB-C lightening cable but I was still able charge it with my USB lightening cable and USB power adapter in the boxes of previous iPhones! The problem back then is fast approaching now, only it's getting worse I/we will have to 'folk-out' even more money for the Apple USB-C power adapter, as I said it is "utterly wrong" to claim it's for the benefit of the planet, when I know full well it's about profit and shareholder value.

Regards, Bodycalming.

If you simply count it down like the old ways then we are starting with 11 series then the 12 series would be 11S.

13 series would become the 12 series and the 14 series would become the 12S series.

So 15 should be the 13 series so 15 is a non-S series.
But didn't they release the X, then an XS series, then an 11?

I have upgraded every iteration since the 3GS and this is the first year I may sit out. I love the color I have and the camera is pretty good.

No shame there. Though the Apple pixie dust may still convince you to buy a new one tomorrow

maybe don’t read up on the rumors?😉

If you didn't read places (and other articles elsewhere) like this ahead of time, you wouldn't have had to make your post.

I don't mean just a surprise to me. I miss events where something catches everyone by surprise. I guess it's just impossible to keep things under wraps, but I miss the days when Apple melted our faces off with a product reveal.

IMHO, the two important updates are USB-C, which will future proof the connector, and the camera in the Pro Max. Well, maybe we could add battery life for any that move to 3nm(only the promax?)

These couple of gram savings are not worth even publicizing (again in my humble opinion).
Performance increases are to be expected, but is anyone actually needing that over a 12, 13, or 14?
