I agree. I’ll be keeping my 14PM also.

Now you’re talking!!! I like the way these colors look and I’m sure many others would too.

I'm thinking if it is not time to buy purple iPhone (i don't think that another purple one will be here anytime soon). On the other side i don't know if I won't regret this buy later...

That is exactly what I called it when my cousin and I were chatting about it. I said my 13 Pro actually feels like a 12.1, and the upcoming 15 seems like a 12.3 release.
There is exactly nothing left to do in the "small portable computer" space, except stylistic/fashion changes.

Except one thing: Fully opened source software and HARDWARE.

Will never happen though.

They do have the same pwm issues for most other people. They don’t pose a problem for me…except to say my first s23 Ultra did and I attempted to return it.

Unfortunately the phone was stolen at some point on the way to Samsung or in their facility and dealing with Samsung on the matter was not good and I’m done with them for that reason. (The matter is more complex than I can get into here).

Anyway, the first s23 Ultra screen had a terrible off axis color shift and flicker. I could not really stand to look at it. My second one I purchased from Amazon was perfect. But Samsung has made some tweaks to get significantly better power efficiency from the display and that does make flicker worse than in the previous generation. I can tolerate it but eventually fatigue sets in and that never happened on the S22 Ultra.

The s22 Ultra display gives me the greatest comfort in prolonged use. Even though it cost me, I am glad I ended up keeping the S22 Ultra because of the theft snafu. It’s the display I read on the most at home on Wi-Fi usage.
My Pixel 7a display is comfortable to use. But my Pixel 6 Pro that I used to have was not comfortable. That’s why I traded it for the 7a. Pixels are all over the place. I never know what to expect. I never owned the Pixel 7 Pro but from what I saw in Best Buy, the display would have given me trouble.

If I continue to pursue Android use in the future, I might start considering Motorola because they’re actively engaged in addressing the pwm effect on visual health.
Ahhh that’s unfortunate about the s23u! I really hope Apple figures it out so you don’t have to consider completely switching to Android.

I love my 11 Pro Max in Midnight Green. But ultimately color is irrelevant if the phone will spend most of its life swaddled in a case.

Thanks! As long as this 12 Pro Max lasts I can stay in iOS. Since it’s a newly purchased refurbished model it’s got a new battery and I’ve got Apple Care + on it just in case, so I’m hopeful I can get a lot of years out of it. Even if I can end up using the 15 Pro Max I will keep it for backup.

Are you okay?
Why? This can solve many :D. These new colors are not my cup of coffee, but... I already have iPhone (13PM) and I'm tempted to get 14 PM not because some super new tech that I missing but because of purple color (i love purple color). And now, ask yourself, how many people switching their iPhones just for reason same to mine (written above)? I know Apple have to live from someting, but their phones might last much longer and changes year by year in function or hardware are minimal.

I still believe iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max had the best color options available.

Alphine Green + Sierra Blue 🩵

So glad there was no forest green 14 pro max because I was really looking forward to having silver/white for the first time since iPhone 5 era lol

…now when I upgrade to iPhone 17 or 18 pro max please let there be an old school boston Celtics forest green…please!…
I remember when I bought my Nano, it was hard to settle on a color because I loved almost all of them. Yes to jewel tones.

What color did you end up getting?

According to this, It looks like there will be a Product Red iPhone Red iPhone and iPhone Plus.

Update: It could be just the case.

So glad I got silver 14 pro max. Silver goes great with every case color. It’s got this subdued pop to it haha.

They do look great and classy. But it would be nice to have a bright color choice for the quirky artists and creatives among us that Steve Jobs originally marketed to. These are such corporate oriented “safe” choices.

After seeing the bold colors titanium can be colored, it’s kind of a letdown that every option is so neutral and conservative.

I’m really gutted that my purple 14 Pro Max display gives me such bad migraines. I’d have kept using that phone another year. It was easily the best iPhone I’ve ever had and I love the color so much. But I barely lasted 8 months before having to dial back to the white/silver 12 Pro Max.

And I am grateful I was able to do that, don’t get me wrong. And the silver/white is divine. I will probably be on this phone a long time, but I’m going to try a 15 Pro Max because I would like a more updated modem and emergency satellite connectivity. Unfortunately, I don’t hold out much hope I’ll be able to tolerate the pwm traits of the display.

How does a phone give you migraines?? And what makes one phone easier to use than another for you? Pwm? What’s that all about??..peace
