I have an iPhone 13 Pro. While I would like the 3nm chip, I have no plans to update to any iPhone 15 - much less the Pro. Maybe a base iPhone 16 if it gets the new chip and it’s not overpriced. If it is, maybe the next iPhone SE. I don’t care about the camera at all.

It's a S year.

The mass consumer doesn't care about USB-C. The big update came last year with 48MP and Dynamic Island. This year, the form factor is the same.

iPhone 15/Plus will likely outsell iPhone 14/Plus models but the Pro/Max models may take a hit in demand this year.

S year is the best iPhone in my opinion. Apple really takes pride in the iPhone's internal. Thus, battery life, power efficiency, and camera module. Everything will be nicely improved! Well re-defined!

Higher price coupled with on-going inflation will definitely lower demand. Not sure what Apple's thinking here.
All of the car manufacturers have been doing the same thing, and they're (along with the dealers) now having major problems moving inventory. Jeep, for example, is in big trouble - dealers can't sell Grand Cherokees becuase they're priced too high ($60k for THAT car?), and those goofy Wagoneers priced at $110k are just sitting around.

Tons of these cars sitting on dealers lots for 200+ days.

Add in EV upgrades and expenses (that no one wants) and make the fire even worse.

Ford, GM... all making the same mistakes. Wonder why these business leaders think general consumers would be even remotely interested in $60k cars, especially right now.

While I always question these reports, one thing to keep in mind is that US carriers (at least AT&T) who subsidized the iPhone 13, spread out the billing credits across 3 years, instead of 2. For example, I pay a very small amount per month for my 256GB iPhone 13 Pro Max, but I'd have to fork out $400 to pay off the balance of my phone if I want to upgrade. Unless there is a must-have feature, personally - I'm content with my current device for another year.

The iP14 Pro's main 1x camera was a HUGE leap ahead - we've last seen something like this with the 3gs -> 4 upgrade.

According to the rumors published so far, very modest camera improvements are to be expected. No wonder not many people will want to upgrade from the 14 Pro.
