What’s an example of a “robust color”?
A Jet Black iPhone 7. 🖤

Worth watching the video. Best part 1:10 🙃

All these color preferences and decisions made on color preference. I don’t really care about the color. I just took the case off mine to see what color my phone was. Oh, it’s blue…will it get me a better trade in? That is just the issue. If you buy a phone and protect to with case, color doesn’t matter unless the case is clear.

When apples got nothing, they put out emoji's and a new color...

In 2203 that's innovation to met a release date!

And then we go put covers on them anyway. Wife and I both got white 12 minis, yet different covers so we know whos is whos, without having to wake them up.

Do you think a blue one will perform better than a space grey one?

The latest study from Technology Research Analysts Survey Holdings found that

“Blue-colored iPhones and iPads run 12.6% cooler, have 3.67% longer battery life, and perform 7.39% faster than the space grey models.”
That’s been my experience, too. 😁

If this is something worth reporting there really isn’t anything worthwhile being added to new iPhones anymore. They’re pretty much the same every year and have been for a while. Apparently the only thing that changed (in worse) is their price.

Apple can’t innovate past Midnight Green. I use my phone naked with a leather sleeve case. How am i supposed to look on anything else but Midnight Green? 🙃

I think the 12 Pro had the best blue, but I’m very happy with my 14 Pro Max in purple. However I think the non-Pro models have the better overall color selection.

All the body piercing places I've ever been to tell me that oxidizing titanium to blue colors is hard without it also coming out with either grey or purple in the mix, so, this may also be saving some money in the production process as compared to other blues we've seen on aluminum and plastic models. Just a guess.
Thanks for the insight! I've always wondered what kind of manufacturing factors determine color choices.

I wish Apple would bring back midnight green.

I’d pinch a man (I mean I’m not going to kill one for it) for a true copper/bronze that’s been rendered forever

Apple should start doing a “limited edition” Pro phone every year with a unique material— that would be fun. Brass one year, ceramic the next. That could be fun. (Super expensive to produce and buy, but fun.)

I wish they did the same colors as the non-pro models. Since that won't happen (because they want to differentiate betweeen models) how about bringing back the jet black?

Actually a bronze copper iphone pro would be pretty sweet. 👍🏼 My fav iphone pro color so far was my midnight green iphone 11 pro max.
