In summary, Apple has six months to fix last year’s imbecile idea and bring the sim tray back (US). It reminds me of the cretin who wiped out all the ports on the MBP, only to later bring them back.
Yea the lack of ports was claimed to be “ brave “ and “ innovated “
No one wants to carry around a bag of adapters to regain functionality out of a “ pro “ $2500 laptop.
The last great MacBook Pro was the 2013 Retina 15”
All the ports, slim, functional. Once they introduced the Touch Bar and eliminated the ports those MacBook pros are atrocious for productivity.
And they do not hold their value. And the fact their devices still used ddr3 till 2019…..
And the removing of the mag safe connecter sealed the deal for me.
I bought a 15” msi laptop with support for an external gpu. 8 core i7, 32gb ddr4 ram , 2tb nvme drive and an Nvidia 1080Ti. All for $1399. I use Ventura via emulation and it works better than my wife’s m1 MacBook Air. And this MSI is 4 years old…. Higher cinibench while booted into the Ventura VM.

Having multiple USBC ports is not an example of a lack of ports.

But what’s humorous is the same people who think the first iMacs and iBooks dropping legacy ports and being USBA-only was good and forward-thinking, but the 2016 MBPs dropping legacy ports and being USBC-only wasn’t.

Not going to lie. 100% agreed with this Tweet. Im not sure how I feel about Apple Removing the mute switch now.

The mute switch was rather unappreciated genius at the time. I remember when I got my first iPhone and love how simple it was to silence the sound.

Back then most phones had “profiles” you’d have to click to power button, then 3 slicks down to silent. Select it. You then didn’t know if it was in silent unless you woke the screen.

A. should stop removing things from the iphone. Leave the mute switch and for the love of life bring back the damn SIM tray in the US! This imbecile tinkering in Cupertino is not going to end well..
