Why toss them in the trash, there are many other devices that use it or even people that still need them with older devices.....they're more likely to be useful for their full lifespan than a mere waste.

Eventually Apple is just gonna have to make people more angry then they already are. I don't think the new 10th gen iPad is gonna get to iOS 21. 4gb Ram is gonna be a bottleneck sooner rather than later.

Yep. Give it full external display support, too, but only on the Max, and then we’ll have a true OLED iPad (Mini). 🤣

Nice to see these things for the 15 - amazing we're up to 8GB of RAM on our little handheld computers now.

Means the iPhone 16 will probably be v1.0 of Apple's 5G modem (remembering how things went with the 1st couple of versions of Intel's 4G modem's in iPhone's and seeing how Samsung's 5G modem was on Pixel 6 i.e. troublesome)....means I'll be getting the iPhone 15 for sure now.
 
Even though I can understand people want USB-C I hate the fact that the rest of our devices in addition to chargers, accessories are still lightning and won’t be compatible anymore.

The iPhone Pro line has been at 6GB of RAM ever since the 12 - for 3 years now.

It is time for Apple to move on to 8GB.

Agreed, will take some time to rotate everything out - everthing I have is lightning still. Will still keep my little 5 watt chargers, just cause I like them, and need to find a USB-A to USB-C cable for the new devices (I'm sure Apple will be ready to sell some to me at the time).

Definitely rumors of that coming, course I've noticed wireless charging heats up the phone a good deal which is exactly what you don't want for your battery (heat, among other things, destroys the battery's capacity over time) - so there would be a downside there.
 
But this is good the periscope only will come to pro max for the 15. Then that means in two years when I’m ready to upgrade, it will make its way to the 16 Pro. 👍👍
