Yeah I don’t want Apple to touch the Mute switch either. That’s great! Reminds me of Touch Bar. But I still want Apple to leave the Mute Button alone.
totally depends, if people like it, then no.Oh. I thought it would inherently be understood that iPhone is the only reasonable option.
And fast forward a few years. Do you think there will still be physical button options on a top-of-the-line iPhone?
If iPhone 6S users don’t want to lose the home button and the design of their phone, they still have one to buy, the SE.So you’re suggesting people in five or six years stick with their iPhone 14pro because of the lack of available Pro options with physical buttons?
Ask the iPhone 6s users how well their experience is going right now.
Been using iPhones since 2009, currently still using everyday the 6S and side buttons have never failed or had issues. (4S home button had failure because of plastic parts. Metals parts were used after.)Will be interesting to see data from repair shops on how often do those buttons actually fail. Considering there are people who still use iPhone 6 or older, seems like they’re quite durable.
Yes. Absolutely, prices for fully functional cases will increase. But don't worry, there will loads of cheap cases which won't be fully functional. Apple is creating issues where there is none now.Case makers will probably have some difficulties and it may increase their costs which some will probably pass on to their customers.
The SE has a solid state button.totally depends, if people like it, then no.
If people don’t like it, then, probably yes.
People don’t seem to get it, but Apple really lately has been listening to what people are saying a lot more.
Ports, butterfly keyboards, Touch Bar, Safari tabs, battery percentage, a black background for the always on display… even small little tiny things get changed if there’s enough negative feedback. The battery icon in the Big Sur beta, that’s a big one I remember.
If iPhone 6S users don’t want to lose the home button and the design of their phone, they still have one to buy, the SE.
It’s literally just the 6S design with modern specifications.
Six years from now I guarantee there will be a low end iPhone (SE or otherwise)that looks just like the 14 series, totally flat sides, normal buttons and switches, but with specifications six years newer.
And This is assuming the new 15Pro buttons are successful, if people just absolutely despise them, I think it’s more than likely Apple would switch back to the regular, just like they gave back the ports, just like they ditched the Touch Bar.
But what’s more than likely is that they’ll change them, 99% of people won’t even notice or care and life will continue.
What is this based on? What issues related to cases are you thinking would come up?One thing for certain. Case prices are going to increase. And there are going to be loads of cheap cases that won't be fully functional. I expect that there will be usability problems as well with cases, gloves, thru fabric, etc.
The result of this change is higher price for cases and usability issues.
If the buttons are pressure sensitive, as all of the rumors so far have suggested, cases should act absolutely know differently. One thing for certain. Case prices are going to increase. And there are going to be loads of cheap cases that won't be fully functional. I expect that there will be usability problems as well with cases, gloves, thru fabric, etc.
The result of this change is higher price for cases and usability issues.
They aren’t exactly waterproof 💦 😉What problems do the current physical buttons have? We’ve had it for over a decade.
Everytime I think of the camera, I think of some kid wanting the iPhone 15 Pro for Christmas, and someone interjecting "You'll put an eye out, kid!"Last night, no joking, I dreamt that I was buying the 15 pro. No idea why, maybe it’s because it’s rumored to be physically slightly smaller… but it will be too expensive, and with an excessive protruding camera.
That's simple enough.. Simply set it to mute function and forget it.That’s great! Reminds me of Touch Bar. But I still want Apple to leave the Mute Button alone.
