I’ve still got 96.25 GB left out of 128GB on my 14 Pro Max. That’s 2070 photos, 111 videos, 59 applications and no music. Guess I’m not considered a power user 😆. I reckon 128GB will be fine for me. That said I’ve only just discovered the fact I cant record 4k Pro res on my 128GB version. It’s not a feature I’ve obviously used or else I’d have known and I get it given the likely file sizes, it does bug me a bit though, maybe I should switch to 256GB minimum next and use the thing more.

Absolutely, because one CAN bye higher storage options - I will go for 512 Gb propably. However, if they would have stayed at 6 Gb RAM you won't have an option. And to be honest, the 2 TB option for like 2500 € here in Germany would have been an absolute niche device in any case.
Exactly, it's not like 128 is the sole option. Upgrade if you need more. Some still don't need over 128 like me. Now I could be more on the side of people complaining about not having a higher tier. And definitely agree about the Cloud complaints like more free storage and more tiers.

My camera roll is currently 37,848 pictures and 2,547 videos. Ouch. I have 365 applications and I back everything up to iCloud. There's a lot of media in my Messages as well. I still have 79.15 GB free of 256 GB on my iPhone 12 Pro. I just ordered a 512 GB Pro Max as I want more storage, especially for buffer area as videos record before they go to the cloud.
