Can't believe how many people are excited for a substandard port that is going to break a lot. Lightning may be slow for transfers but it is a robust connector, never had one fail. Had the USBCs replaced on my 2017 MBP, both sides and they got far less usage than my phone gets.

I’m all about Titanium! Straight up. That Stainless Steel gots to go! It’s outdated now. Bring the premium iPhone back. In addition, iPhone will face a massive drop in weight. It’s going to feel different. Titanium iPhone will remind us of iPhone 4/4s.
I can't remember the last time I used wireless charging. They should just remove it altogether.

Agreed! That MagSafe on an iPhone is very slow. Apple hyped it up too much. Sorry, but it’s just not the same experience you get with real charging!

before taking delivery of my car on dec 29 2022, my 13 pro battery capacity was at 99%, now its at 92% and the only change of using habit was using the wireless charger from my car.
iPhone 15 leaks rolling in in February. At this rate we’ll know everything before spring.
Just because you don’t have a need for fast charge doesn’t mean no one does.
That said, they could adopt faster MagSafe charging in iPhone.

my iPhone 14 Pro is still at 100% and I've exclusively been charging wirelessly. anecdotal experience is not proof of anything.
The look of this reminds me of the 5th-7th generation iPod touch.

magsafe battery is a superior solution to fast charge.
slap on the battery for, effectively, an instant 50% boost to battery.
Then it was an issue with your car's infotainment system. Mine worked just fine in the BMW 330e.
There are simply no significant benefits to wireless charging at this time, you pay more to make your battery wear faster yet charge slower. But that's beside the point for me, I use the Lightning port to transfer files to storage devices which MagSafe can't do.

Port / Shmort… it’s all about the speed. If it’s STILL Lightning speed (I’m looking at you basic iPad), it’s just nonsense.
I’m not looking forward to picking pocket lint out of that port, but it’s gonna be a couple years until my next iPhone regardless.
