M3 will be based on A16.This and only 10% core performance improvement. I guess the M3 won’t be such a big boost that everyone thought.

They do. I don't even know why we're arguing about this.No they don’t.
By far the biggest disappointment for me. It was actually the only reason I watched the entire keynote. Not a word.Yeah, the improved battery life with the A17 Pro was a big and disappointing miss.
I agree with the other poster, seeing the rumored thin bezels got me excited but the actual ones were getting are barely thinnerThey do. I don't even know why we're arguing about this.
I thought the whole presentation and the products were underwhelming and parts of the presentation were simply cringe worthy 😏

If it is a limitation of the A chip, they should have sorted it...anyway this ground breaking 3nm process, has hardly increased the power....amazing how many techies are simply ignoring this 😏I wonder if it has to do with the design of the A-series chips. Thunderbolt came to the iPad Pro when it transitioned to M1, 2018 and 2020 gens were USB-C, but limited to 3.1 speeds. Maybe the A-series cannot support a Thunderbolt connection without a major architectural overhaul
It's not really surprising, tech should get cheaper especially with volumes like iPhone.Yeah, with inflation it's honestly surprisingly. But Apple was already at the higher end of the market, so they've probably done enough market research and realized that increasing the price at this point is going to hurt sales more than keeping it the same. For instance, increasing the price by 10% may result in a drop in sales of 15%. Their margins are already quite healthy, according to most supply chain analysts.
But they've made back the difference in other ways. For instance, they held back the base iPhone to use an older CPU. They haven't increased base storage in years. They introduced the Plus model which costs more while getting rid of the Mini model which cost less. They offer the Pro Max in only 256GB so the average selling price is higher. They chip away in ways that make it seem like the price hasn't gone up, when in reality it has in certain hidden ways.
It's not only the ports, it's also a problem with the cables Apple is selling:It's really unbelievable that only the Pro actually has USB 3 for the USB-C port. They should be embarassed. and yes, no thunderbolt in the Pro, just par for the course.
By dropping the smallest storage configuration tier from the Pro Max line-up (128) while excluding the 5X optical zoom from the regular pro line-up, they are effectively forcing people to move up to the next / more expensive Pro Max level at 256. It's a master stroke to raise the price without officially raising the price per se.Yeah, with inflation it's honestly surprisingly. Aren't those all free spaces on the bingo card at this point? I think Apple's marketing team make these phrases into banners on the wall.Other hits:
* Best camera on an iPhone ever
* Fastest iPhone ever
* More pro than ever
* They think we’ll love it
Yeah, right, cost of living increased 25% in 6 years… 😂😂Six years. The iPhone X released at $1000 in 2017. With inflation that is about $1250 now so the Pro Max base model costs the same as the X did. Tech usually gets cheaper so this is continues evidence of that, even with Apple.
i think it’s because the new one is like a tenth of a millimeter smaller than the previous one 🤣I'm surprised there are no new articles comparing the bezels now that it is confirmed.
Yep, agreed. Glad this didn't pan out.I feel like one of the biggest missed rumor is the one on MFi or proprietary USB C cables for faster charging: https://www.macrumors.com/2023/02/28/iphone-15-usb-c-accessories-limited-without-mfi/
