I am giving this case a serious look. It is not MagSafe compatible but the accounts of soldiers carrying their iPhones into battle in this case are very interesting. This place sells Gorilla Glass screen protectors.

If you post a pic it’s easy to see as it is on every pic posted. It’s not an issue just the case does not sit flush against the frame near the CC button. Every silicone case has it.

Figured out the problem with the glass screen protector and the OtterBox Defender case. The install jig does not accurately place the glass panel on the screen. it is either too high or too low; we are talking about a tiny fraction of an inch, but with the tight fit of the case's inner plastic frame, that does not work. An interesting thing is that the Spigen install jig is dead-on accurate and perfectly installed the screen protector on the 14 Pro Max, which stayed in place for over 2 years until I peeled it off of the 14 to box it to send to Apple as my trade-in for the 16 Pro Max.

That CC button doesn't even match the buttons 😉 I'm already out of this greasy pit as of last night.

Now that I figured out the problem with the ESR screen protector, I carefully positioned the glass cover in the jig, making sure the index tabs were tightly connected. This time, the screen protector went on perfectly, and when I assembled the Defender case around the iPhone, the darkened edges were perfectly positioned, and there were no bubbles under the glass.
I am wondering about The Defender case in all of the years I have used it, it has never left any part of the iPhone to be exposed. Now the camera control is. A lot of such cases are the same way. Is there a reason for this?

I need a leather case/or anything other than that plastic that apple uses- with NO bottom part so that my thumbs don't keep getting raw from the case friction when swiping up PLUS a good action button, not a cut out.

Otterbox initially said they would introduce a Defender with a capacitive camera control button cover this year, but then later cancelled the release due to technical problems. I suspect they’ll have one for the IP17, but don’t hold your breath expecting one for the IP16.
Many manufacturers have had trouble with the CC button. This is the first year Apple has used a capacitive button on the iPhone, which has caused lots of problems for third party case manufacturers. I suspect most will have it figured out for the next round.

Actually went back into the green Benks thinny thin, lot less fingerprints and so much thinner 😀
I also find myself using the Magsafe Ringke rugged quite a bit, it's such a good case.

This is the first time I have had a case that I can use MagSafe, and I like it. I still have to plug the iPhone into my Mac Studio to transfer files, but not using the USB port as much is a good thing I can leave it sealed off to keep evil out of it.

Great choice, still over here rocking and loving Benks Aurora thinny thin.
The case hunt is done for me, I’ve entertained enough cases this year lol.
