iPhone 14 pro got it when it came out 83% battery health.

I'm so ready to go to the 16 pro MAX with the increased battery health wohoooo!

Beyond weird to come to this site to just bust on iPhones and announce you won’t be buying. I’ll never understand it.
Yes. We wouldn’t want balanced discussions here, just blind fanboy loyalty. iPhone is coming out, buy it or be shunned. It’s the best iPhone ever made! Fastest iPhone ever! Best camera in an iPhone!!!!

I’ve come to realize there are two fanboy categories. The first is Apple fans from the 80s-2010s. These were just die hard users. The next group is 2010-now. These are strange cultists that can not stand anyone questioning Apples superiority. They come here and gush to each other in an Apple love fest echo chamber. They can not mentally deal with anyone questioning Apple and in turn their own validity in life. You shouldn’t wrap that much of yourself in a soulless brand that only wants your money. I actually feel bad for you folks like this.

Unfortunately, there are contradictory rumors.
I only know about the rumor from here where several features where laid open through X and it may be just a missing detail. The original rumor was from Weibo (that only the proMax gains the IMX903) and is only a few month old. Traditionally, rumors from mainland China well into production start a accurate. We'll see.

Glossy polished titanium is a downer. Why can't they just leave it brush finish like 15 Pro and Pro Max. It'll have so many hairline scratches again with glossy polished.
Glossy polished sides are astronomically better than brushed, matte sides. I HOPE this rumor is true beyond all other rumors.

I do not use a case:

Glossy = grip

Matte = slippery

Glossy = premium looking

Matte = dull and hideous looking

I realize this is a recap, but I find it highly amusing that this was phrased as if Apple is still thinking about a hardware feature on a device that’s already being manufactured, and the hardware design of which has presumably been finalized for months.
They weighed that approximately 18 months ago. Lol

The key for a better battery health, at least for me, has been to always charge it at 80%. After 1 year my iPhone 15 battery has still 99% capacity.
Always charge it only to 80% so that you perpetually get -20% battery capacity in order to save 7% battery capacity loss after 1 year.

Hang on I’m checking my notes…….

Yes I see here, I wrote that I’ll never use that piece of trash nonsensical feature in my life

Who’s “we”? You and your alter-ego? In that case “I” don’t care 😂😂😂
No he was referring to himself and all of us on here who wouldn’t dream of buying a Google phone.

The Google phone is interesting because its best feature is a magic trick. You use it normally and input loads of your data and the Google machine eats up all your data and thanks you kindly.

Google’s mascot should be ‘The Data Monster’ and it can be identical to The Cookie Monster except it lives in your phone and eats up all the delicious data instead of a garbage can eating cookies. Actually, ironically it is kind of a Cookie Monster too since it loves those delicious Google Chrome cookies you leave behind

That’s called a customer review. It’s beyond weird to me that you get excited about a product while in reality it’s old tech sold as new with not enough memory to be future proof.

You never compare a product? I’ve made arguments why I think it’s a bad deal. I don’t get it to get personal just because I criticize the Jezus phone with arguments. Isn’t that why this site is for? Giving your personal opinion about Apple products?

Oh and it’s not allowed here to get personal or insulting. Maybe you should read the rules again.

Have a nice day

You have proof for that? Isn’t Apple doing the same with your data?

I just read a paper about the difference in privacy for Android an iOS. Following the paper the latest Android is on par with iOS. You can change the settings about privacy in a similar way.

I've learned with my 15 Pro that fast wired charging and/or wireless charging may not be the best way to charge your iPhone. I got it on launch day and 340 cycles in, I'm at 92% battery health. My iPhone 13 reached 91% battery health after 2 years.

So the rumored faster charging with the 16 may not be that good news, I'm not upgrading anyway but I would advise against using it by default, I would advise only to use it when you really need it. When you really need to juice up quickly your best way is wired anyway and that's not as bad for the battery as wireless is.
I've been inductively charging my iPhone 12 Pro Max with Optimized Battery Charging for the past 4 years. I show 90% full charge capacity after 718 cycles.

Reminds me of the commenters who said the Apple Watch would be a failure for various anecdotal and personal reasons. I suspect many of these commenters work for the competition.

I’m not working for the competition. But I’m not technology blind either. This site is to give your thoughts and opinions about products. I used to be very happy with Apple products because they were ahead of the curve. Nowadays I’m not. Apple has become a slow follower in tech. To see that you have to look what competing brands have to offer. It’s always good to be critical and not take anything for granted. Some might not agree… that’s there opinion and I respect that. But to say I’m from the competition while you don’t like what I write is (in my opinion) short sided.

I think you are confusing Cookie Monster

I did the 80% charge thing as well. My capacity stayed at 100% til June. abou 9 months. now just 2 short months later I'm down to 94%, no change in charging habits. Only 240 cycles. Really disappointed. The only other thing I can think of is the phone fast charges by default when I'm below 50% and the phone gets very hot. Ive been in that situation many times over the past 1- months!

Thank you, well said. I love Apple and their products and UX are top notch, but they are not perfect and are not immune to criticism.

I'll stop using this forum if criticism towards Apple's decisions are not allowed.

so for real it’s the iphone 15s

there’s the rumors of the action button on the pro models being capacitive and lets you scroll like old android phones did TEN years ago.

so i’m hopeful for updated airpod pros, new ultra watch features & maaaybe an apple ring?

all three likely to have new health tracking tech baked in.

the new iphones are the low point this cycle for me.
AirPod Pro upgrade ? No chance mate. Do you mean AirPod Max?

You will be getting a slower SOC and therefore performance, Slower Storage, Worse battery life, Cheaper build materials, and inferior cameras but knock yourself out 👍🏻
...and he will be getting the Android OS which looks a lot less polished than IOS.

Since I use a case everyone is going to think my iPhone X is an iPhone 16 because of the vertical cameras.

Back to pimpin'.

Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, let's glow!

Thank you for deciphering the meaning behind Apple’s event.

Now… just what on Earth are they planning here?? Are the rumors wrong? This looks to be another boring S year upgrade cycle, GLOW suggests they are going to give the competition a lady beat down. 🧐🤨IMG_3248.gif

I have never and would never use the 80% max charge.

I do not use optimized charging either; I charge any time I want.

After 337 cycles it reads 91%.

This is a good indication that those settings do next-to-nothing for you per year. The 80% cap charging is one of the most nonsensical things I can imagine because you’re limiting your battery by 20% artificially, which is absolutely hilarious because everyone complains about battery life since the inception of smartphones.

There have been some mods in the past that removed my posts for “other reasons” that were really because my criticism was upsetting the normies. Thankfully they are no longer around. Moderation has gotten better in that regards. It’s just the membership that wraps themselves up in Apple so much it’s their identity. I get it, I was a die hard fanboy in the 90s up until the iPhone 3G era. Once they hit that success it changed them and the old Apple died a bit everyday. Today’s fanboy is just a different animal that equates iPhones with status, self worth, and being part of something “bigger than themselves “.
