View attachment 2414469Here is my 15 Pro's battery health after just under 12 months. 40% cabled charging (fast) and rest was 15W wireless. RIP

I'm done with fast and wireless charging unless really needed.
That really sucks. The first time I used MagSafe I was convinced it was tanking my battery health, but for my 15 Pro Max, I've almost exclusively charged with MagSafe built into a charging dock. Almost 12 months on, I'm on 95%. It was close to 100% until the first couple of iOS 18 betas seemed to tank my battery health.

Isn't a cycle a full 0-100? As opposed to the number of over night charges. I've probably only charged mine over night about 10 times, for what that's worth.
You're right. I'm on 297 cycles on a day 1 15 Pro Max.

Nah it's not 0%, hardly anyone goes down to that. I assume it's when you charge to 100% from below a certain amount. Maybe 50%? It's easily hit obviously daily for me.

A full cycle is when the battery is used 100%. So, if today you used 45% of your battery. Tomorrow you used 40%. Then the next day you used 25%. This would be a full cycle because you used over 100% of a battery cycle charge.

You misunderstood. It just adds up lots of 100s. 100=1 cycle. Eg 50% to 100% is 50, charging from 20-70% is another 50.

Yeah makes sense. So even if you kept it between 80% and 20% you'd hit 1 cycle in two days easily.

I wonder if I can reach 25W iPhone 16 charging speed via magsafe connecting the new MagSafe cable to an M1 iMac Usb-C port (I have the 4 ports version iMac). 🤔

So Apple did increase charging speeds with the USB-C cable (45W) and new MagSafe (25W) puck!
What they didn't tell you is the puck is a different (thinner) size so all of your MagSafe accessories where the puck is used will have to be replaced! I tried them they don't fit securely anymore!

Are there any iphone case can "Support" (not only compatible) with 25W magsafe charging?

I get an iphone16 pro max and original 25W charger, it can charge with 25-27W (15V) when battery is below 60%, then decrease to 10-15W (9V) until 80%, but all result are without any phone case. While I use the phone case and charge it, its only can charge at 6-10W at 9V. I tried another brand Qi2 charger with phone case, it can reach 15-17W until 80%.

Is it the radio frequency of magsafe 25W is higher then qi2 so the clearance is lower, or just the current phone case is not yet supported?
