Well get ready for iOS 18.1 more new features with extra bugs
Don’t the other competitors also release their stuff on a yearly basis? It's probably the software. Apple with its yearly software cycle is really shooting themselves on the foot with this deadline. The quality of the OS is just trash these days.
Same.16 Pro on 18.0.1 and haven’t had any issues at this point.
The qc has declined however. This shouldn’t be an issue. There’s no such thing as software without bugs, anywhere, and even with Jobs the advice here and everywhere used to be that if you wanted better stability always wait for at least the first point release of an OS
People are indeed voting with their wallets it seems. The 16 current has bad sales numbers compared to previous years. Plus the camera button is the biggest gimmick since the Touch Bar.Vote with wallets. It’s what I’m doing by skipping the 16 Pro. I upgraded every year prior.
Last time we said "Get used to it" was in the Sculley/Spinder/Amelio era...Tim Cook’s Apple ladies and gentleman. Get used to it.
Same. Not 10-20 times a day, but definitely twice a week. iOS 18 is quite buggy, not that happy with the update (for now). Still trying to get used to the new photos app. iPhone Mirroring is amazing tho.I’ve been experiencing this on my iPhone 14 Pro Max as well so definitely not an issue just for the 16 models.
Neither problem with my 16 Pro Max on iOS 18.0.1. Charging battery up to 80% capacity once daily in the early morning. By the following morning I still have roughly 30%+ left and that after relatively heavy use throughout most of the previous day. And no overheating whatsoever, unlike my previous 15 Pro Max which used to overheat until Apple released a fix. But after the fix, the 15 did feel slightly hot once in a while but I would never called it overheating. Also, absolutely zero freezes or restarts for me during the 2 weeks I’ve had my new 16PM. FWIW, to set up my new 16 PM, I transferred the data directly from my 15PM instead of from my iCloud backup. Don’t know if that made a difference in my experience thus far vs. that of others. It has plenty of other problems though, mainly horrific battery life and heating up randomly.
Wouldn't the 13 be the "first year model" and 14, 15, and 16 seem like they just iterated on that.I'm glad I did not upgrade my iPhone 13 Pro to a iPhone 16. Just like a car, you never by a first year model.
