These tests are quite dumb and don't represent real world usage at all.

I think it would interest more iOS users that wish to switch to Android that last year S24 Ultra still waiting for the OneUI 7 update. Samsung is clearly holding it back to have a better selling point on the S25 Ultra as it's quite a weak sucessor.

For comparison every year multiple iPhone models receive the same iOS version on release of the new model.

Maybe this was already said but some of the apps tested depend on other factor that can create slow downs. Test that depend on internet connectivity can vary even on the same network. So any app that was tested that needs internet access should have been removed IMHO. One thing that I wonder about is the video export. Apple like to default apps to save to iCloud Drive over the internal storage at least in my experience. iCloud relay is another that I know for a fact can slow access down for some web activity. What was the storage on the iPhone? Apple has history of slow storage on 256GB models. I'm not saying that the S25 isn't faster. No matter how you look at it the S25 had extra 470mhz and 4GB ram, which yielded about 5% improvement over the whole test. After taking a quick look at CPU specs its just more more resource to get that improvement (S25 (octa-core (2P-6E) all clocked higher than the iP16PM's Hex-core (2P-4E). IMHO, it just not impressive and considering the lack of transparency, it is just marketing math. Sorry I might have something wrong so try not to burn me to bad I'm on a my slow iP16PM :p

Rough math used: Minutes convert to seconds (rounded down for S25(184) and up for iPhone(193)) percentage difference between the two.

no one is arguing low cost android phones are good.
i've had some truly awful low end Android phones - use them for travel or media playing while away.

the lack of software updates, even on higher end devices, was shocking. You might last one OS upgrade, often 6 months after released. that's a key difference with Apple. I've had 5 or 6 year old devices that were updated with most features and ran quite well.

and I supported a work app, and most issues were with the Android devices.

i'm sure newer devices are better. let's face it, all phones have reached peak features and hardware function.
top end features have trickled down to medium devices and some even lower spec'ed ones.
