I’ve tried both. I prefer the Belkin. The Ultraglass is slightly thicker and, at least with the copy I had, it blocked a small portion of the screen. I’ve yet to try a screen protector with a border this year that didn’t block some of the screen. If anyone has installed the UltraGlass anti-reflection screen protector and also tried having Apple Install the Belkin Screen protector, which one did you like better? Does the UltraGlass anti-reflection really help with reflections and fingerprints?
I had the Apple machined installed Belkin on my 16 Pro and it has already cracked. Not even sure how it happened. I like the Belkin, but seems thicker compared to the screen protector I had on my 15 PM (Torras) and also seems to get a lot of smudges. Tried the Torras for the 16 Pro and was not the same as the updated Torras model from last year.
Received an Apple installed replacement from Belkin, but may try the Ultraglass anti-reflection first if people provide positive feedback that have tried both.
Thanks!
Here’s a list of the thicknesses of some popular protectors. The Belkin, being the thinnest, is likely more fragile, but also leaves the most case lip above the screen, which is nice for minimalist cases. Arguably, it also has the best touch sensitivity. UltraGlass doesn’t provide the thickness of their products, but the anti-reflective seems to be between.3-.5 mm. Their standard product is thicker, more like the Torras (perhaps even identical, they might use the same OEM).
Belkin UltraGlass 2 - .29 mm
ESR Armorite - .30 mm
UltraGlass Anti-Reflective - ??
Spigen Glas.tR - .51 mm
Torras GlassGo - .71 mm
