flolab "3D" came in today and I have some thoughts.

Firstly - the box is that of their Onetime Pro with a "3D" sticker on the front. Not great presentation, feels like I'm getting a rebadged product.

Installation was actually a little difficult. Flolab achieved a "3D" screen protector by adding a very small lip/gasket all around the adhesive side of the protector. The glass itself doesn't actually follow the radius of the screen. A side effect of this is that the plastic sheet you have to pull out during installation can get caught on that edge. Was fun ripping it out though.

Some minor bubbles worked themselves out. I'm pleased to report the AR is satisfactory and there are no sharp edges to be had. We'll see how the oleophobic coating holds up.

I had the onetime Pro without the 3D. Are you able to describe what’s different about the edges? Are they just more rounded?

How is touch? My Flolab made light taps do nothing. So typing was harder and taps felt delayed. Is this any different on the 3d?

Rounding is about the same. It has this small gasket rim around the very edge on the adhesive side, to fill the space between the protector and the glass to give it that 3D look and feel.

Touch sensitivity is maybe a hair lower but I've already gotten used to it. I think it's due to the thickness of the glass.

What screen protector would you guys recommend to get for my new 16 Pro Max?

Flolab or should I go the the Apple Store and get the one they install? Which is the better out of the two?

Just scroll a few pages back and see everyone's recommendations. It varies this year, especially for the PM.

I’m seeing a lot of “hate” for the FloLab protector which I don’t get at all. The new 3D version is the perfect screen protector when it comes to fit and feel (glass is so smooth just like the original screen). Then there’s the AR coating which is by far the best on the market. I agree it’s expensive but again you’ll be able to exchange it for the rest of device’s life.
What's the difference between the 3D version and the normal Flolab protector?

ESR did the same thing when I ordered something off their website. I used a coupon to save $10 over ordering from the Amazon web site, and I still got next day delivery from Amazon!
Does the ESR protector give you any touch issues? I’m considering the one they sell with the black border. And if that’s the one you have, does the border cover any part of the display?

I continue to have some minor touch issues, though it's better with the ESR than with the thicker Spigen it replaced. People continue to argue whether these touch issues are due to the screen protector or the phone itself.

There is no black border on the ESR Armorite I have.

The ESR Armorite for the 16 Pro Max does not have black borders.
They updated their Amazon listings.

My luck with installing screen protectors is horrible. I always end up getting the Belkin one from the Apple store.

Has anyone tried the Baseus or Smartdevil 3D ones from AliExpress?

They also promise edge to edge and 3D bending like flolab

I have a Torras with a black border and have no issues. I’m not gonna examine too closely tho since it has caused me no issues lol. Touch input is great tho.

I’ve finally found the holy grail of screen protectors!

Hot bend, edge to edge? Check!
No obstructed pixels (even in camera app)? Check!
Great oleophobic coating and touch response? Check!

Fits beautifully in my Ryan London case, too. No gaps for dust to gather!
Can you post pictures?
