Yeah, I have been following the thread also since day one but I still don't believe there would be a better option that I’m aware of than Belkin or Flolab. The other Ultraglass protector would also be on the list if it was available on Amazon. If I have any issues with Flolab I am going to just get Torras off Amazon and deal with the fact it eats into the screen ever so slightly and be done with it.
I use a Mous Limitless 6 case and otterbox clear symmetry case.
I am excited to read your opinions when you finally get the Flolab
You bought the 3D version right? I know Flolab sell different screen protectors..

I will keep you informed. Yeah, thats right the 3D one. Think you said you had the max? The Ultraglass is available on Amazon for the max but at a very hefty price!

I’m seeing a lot of “hate” for the FloLab protector which I don’t get at all. The new 3D version is the perfect screen protector when it comes to fit and feel (glass is so smooth just like the original screen). Then there’s the AR coating which is by far the best on the market. I agree it’s expensive but again you’ll be able to exchange it for the rest of device’s life.

Some people feel that FloLab’s products are overpriced. Some also feel their lifetime warranty is a scam due to the charges associated with obtaining a replacement. Most of their products also have only a mediocre oleophobic coating. All of that adds up to a general feeling of dissatisfaction among some former customers.

Have been using the ESR for my 16PM this year, grabbed an UG2 from the woot link another member posted and installed it yesterday.

Crazyyyyy fingerprint magnet. Coverage from edge to edge also seems slimmer than ESR but I haven’t done the measurements to prove that. Time will tell if it’s more durable - my first ESR cracked after 1.5ish months, but for $8/3pack who cares

Okay, so I received the FloLab today. Very surprised how quick it came actually. Ordered Saturday and came royal mail today (Wednesday) seems very quick to ship from China so maybe they have stock in UK somewhere?
Everything about it seems premium from the packaging, the quality of the protector, the install tray which is 1000000% better than Belkin’s do it yourself Ultraglass 2 install tray, no dust under the screen on first install unlike multiple times doing Belkins I did.

However, always a however haha and to be honest I’m not even sure it is an issue with the protector I get the adhesive not sticking in the right hand corner and I can not seem to get it to stick no matter what I do. When I first got the iPhone I tried the ESR armorite and had the exact same issue in the same place and could not get it to stick properly. That’s when I tried the belkin and had the same thing with Belkin however with not too much effort managed to get it to stick on install.
Is anyone else having this issue? Surely this isn’t right?

Just an fyi, I had this happen in the past where numerous protectors wouldn’t adhere in the same spot. Ended up being an issue with the phone screen and Apple replaced it under warranty.

Thanks for this mate, been driving me crazy. Was hoping it was the phone. Was this with an iPhone 16 Pro you had this issue?

It was actually prior year in the 15 pro max. I imagine something wrong with the screen not being uniformly flat so protectors wouldn’t adhere properly. I’ve read a few other cases of this online over the years.

In my case I bought a belkin protector at an Apple Store and they tried installing it three times with 2 different people before they said they’d exchange the phone. The next protector on the new phone went on flawlessly first try.

It may or may not be the case for you but I wanted to share my experience.

This is an issue that was mentioned earlier in this thread. Some screens are warped, causing the protector to not lay flat. Some people have had their phone replaced when Apple couldn't get their in-store Belkin screen protector to stick after several tries.

See #39, #195, #291, #383 for a few examples.

Thanks for this 😁

Thanks for your detailed review
Do you have the 16 Pro or Pro Max?

What are you going to do now? Get the phone replaced?

Which glass screen protector for 16 pro has the best / easiest installation method? I hate putting these on with a passion and just want the best one with the easiest installation. Prefer it to be from Amazon.

Easiest is to go to an Apple Store and let them install for example. Not the cheapest.

Torras.

Thanks, went with this despite the expensive price.

And I can confirm with the other poster(s) that the Belkin sold on Woot are absolute garbage. Crappy installation method, and screen protector is covered in fingerprints within literal seconds of installing it. Guess I got what I paid for here (like $5 I think).
