Thanks, went with this despite the expensive price.

And I can confirm with the other poster(s) that the Belkin sold on Woot are absolute garbage. Crappy installation method, and screen protector is covered in fingerprints within literal seconds of installing it. Guess I got what I paid for here (like $5 I think).
Expensive?? They're only £/$20 for two??

Thanks for your detailed review
Do you have the 16 Pro or Pro Max?

What are you going to do now? Get the phone replaced?
The Pro.

Well, I was in London at the weekend so booked in at the genius bar in covent garden apple store. They were completely baffled by the adhesive of the screen protectors not sticking in the bottom right corner, said they had never seen it before.
The experience was a bit of a nightmare but I got there.
They originally said because it’s ‘cosmetic’ and doesn't effect how the phone works I would have to go downstairs to the general sale part of the store and ask for a refund because I bought it from apple. I did this and they were about to process it until I told them I pay for it monthly through there finance plan and this apparently changes everything and they couldn't do it because they would have to cancel the monthly plan and it would also effect my credit score, so they sent me back upstairs and they agreed to replace the screen. I did make my case that it probably wasn't the actual screen and possibly a warped part of the phone in the corner from what I have read on this forum. They basically said they couldn't replace it because they had nothing to put it through as on the system to get this approved. I kind of gave up and let them do what they had to do. I had to go away for over an hour and come back to give them time to replace it, they said they would fit a screen protector for me free of charge (happy with that) when I came back they told me everything was successful and passed tests. They took my phone out of the sleeve and gave it to me and the adhesive was showing in the same area (you couldn't make it up) as I said before with Belkin it was easily pushed out but I knew it would come back again. Honestly thank god it happened because I would of walked away and been back at square one. After a lot of time after this, recon I had to wait at least 45mins after this to wait for the manager to come back and work out what they could do because no one knew what the next step would be they agreed to swap over the device and put another new Belkin UltraGlass screen protector on. It was very long winded and I must of spent over 2 hours in store altogether. but I was happy with the outcome in the end, it was worth persisting. They installed the protector perfectly and I generally believe if you can get it installed in the store this is the best screen protector. Flolab 3D was very good to be fair but not quite as smooth or clear as the Belkin. We pray the adhesive never shows again in the bottom right 😂

The Genius Bar is not what it used to be. They've become much more difficult to work with and less accommodating than in the past. It's very much hit or miss.

Thank you for this.

I have just ordered a 16 Pro Max so was deciding which screen protector to go with. I think I will go to the Apple Store in Regents Street and get them to install it. It's is even better tbh since if it doesn't go on properly, I know that the screen is faulty!
I am glad you got the phone replaced in the end though. I find it bizarre though that they couldn't replace it in the first instance because you got the phone via Barclays instalments. I mean what difference does that make?

Hey all,

What is the best screen protector for the 16 Pro Max. I know there are many difference choices, so which would you say is the best to go for? The screen protector that Apple installs?

I had a Torras Diamond Shield screen protector installed, but it had horrible touch response so I removed it. I purchased the Belkin screen protector from the Apple store and installed it myself, it has been working great on my 16 Pro Max.

I tried the Belkin one, then the antiglare Ultraglass, but ultimately got sick of so many fingerprints and bunch of hair/lint building up on the borders as well as some touch issues and cutting up a bit of the screen, so I switched to a matte hydrogel at a local tech store and haven’t looked back since. No more prints, lint or unresponsiveness since it’s so thin.

Can these be bought in the UK?

I've been using the Ultraglass AntiGlare for months now with an Apple Silicone case and I haven't had issues with the lint/fingerprints. Just my personal experience.

Tried 4 Torras screen protectors with black borders. All of them were slightly shifted to the right so few pixel on the left side of the screen are covered.

Today received Spigen Ultra Hybrid T case and it lifts up screen protector in the bottom right corner. 😕

I got a little Tip from a friend a while ago. He showed me a screen Protector he ordered from Amazon. It has a black boarder and no cut off. Also with not with tilting. I thought I was dreaming. Unfortunately I was not able to order it as it was only listed on Amazon Germany. I could not order it so I ordered it to a friend in Germany and he shipped it to me then.

I knew the brand "Roxx" before and I was quite happy with them with my 15 Pro Max. Roxx is also available on Amazon US, but unfortunately not the new version (shows a red "new Version" tag in German).

But for those folks in Europe: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0DMSKGQDP

This is the video. Unfortunately also only in German:

I will post some pictures tomorrow when I can barrow a phone from a workmate to do some pictures.

I feel a bit desperate right now. Thinking of getting screen protector without black borders.

How’s ESR Armorite? Any other suggestions?

Yep and I wasn’t happy about it since this was a defect not a warranty claim. But there are times when I don’t have it in me to fight over $11.
You paid $40 plus $11 shipping, got a defective product, paid another $11 shipping, and you’re okay with that.

There is no part of me that would be okay with that! Im guessing that whoever wrote those policies is the reason they are mail-order only and not sold in stores.

Try the Corning glass protector from Walmart. I've seen a number of people enjoy that one. Personally I couldn't go back to one without anti-reflective coating.

I have an anti glare Flolab right now on my 16 pro max and the touch response is horrible. Is there an anti glare protector that doesn’t completely ruin it? It’s hard going to something not anti glare.

I’ve been using the UltraGlass AR model and have had zero touch issues.

Awesome thank you for confirming and linking it. Have you been able to compare it with a Flolab in terms of touch sensitivity? I’m trying to see if it’s my phone that’s the issue or just the Flolab.

I’m thinking I may have gotten a faulty unit but I did not have such a good experience with the Ultraglass antiglare (gray installation frame). Picked up prints and smudges like crazy, collected lots of dust and lint on the edges, covered a noticeable part of the screen with the black border, and ultimately gave me considerable touch sensitivity issues.
I actually thought it was the phone itself having issues with touch since the Ultraglass didn’t seem that thick, but since removing it and applying a thin hydrogel film I’ve had zero issues.

Just ordered a Flolab 3d protector for my 16 Pro. Wanted to go fully bare, but microscratches are bugging me. Hoping the fit is as good as it looks.

Tangentially related - Flolab shipped it using Amazon Logistics. Weird since I ordered direct off their site.

I just went through two of the protectors I ordered. The install kit for the belkin is so incredibly bad. Crooked out of the box so now it rainbows on the whole edge. A chunk of adhesive missing on the very edge too so there’s a bubble. Not right that I have to deal with this just to have a functional touchscreen. But I can say touch is very close to normal now.
