Yeah, I'm still unclear how this relates to data transfer rates. Apple wants people to use wireless but has to offer a modern wired transfer speed on the "pro" models because otherwise the competition will take over. Have you tried transferring those prores files over icloud? I think you're debating a different issue than I am.I’m talking about the number of people, or even organisations that use iPhone as a professional video camera. And that's partly marketing but mainly quality in video. For example, Apple ProRes video format. Nothing comes close. Marketing "Shot on iPhone" is great, but the proof is on the pudding. Sure, some might use a Samsung Phone, but I don’t believe the numbers are anything close to iPhone.
I'm not talking about stills. That’s about even.
I am not interested in a "what's the best video camera phone" contest – as far as I'm concerned, they do all right for everyone who is shooting video as a part of their larger job and where the distribution is mostly on social media. They are small and easy to carry.
If there are dedicated video pros out there shooting with iPhones, I applaud their patience. But again, not my argument.
