Of course. If you need that much power every day then if you wouldn’t buy the Air. I suspect the battery cases for when you’re going to be away for more than a day"Turn your iPhone Air into iPhone Pro with our fat battery case!"
Or you give her a huge backpack to store snacks and such. Pampering problem solved.reminds me of a very thin "trophy wife" needs constant pampering but turns heads.
Jason Cross (and many others) might have been writing many years about Apple, but I think they don’t understand the company and their users. Most users definitely don’t ask for “less photo processing”. By the way, I do, I just don’t delude myself. So far, Apple’s leadership has understood what customers like much better.
Hmm a surprisingly sound take... 😊👍🏼Love the idea of an ultra-thin iPhone, but it looks like the battery tech just isn't up to the task of what people want from their iPhones in the course of a day.
The way I see it, the idea might be more to have a slim phone for an evening out or whatever, but then you slap on a (hopefully well designed) case which bulks it up if you've got a long day of heavier usage to get through. I personally don't think it's the worst idea in the world.
A lot of people crapping on the idea here, but the fact is you know they're gonna keep making thicker phones with maxed out batteries as they have for many years now. This (if rumors are true) would just be an option for people who skew toward lighter usage. Wouldn't take away from your purchasing options ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Form is function. Using a thin and light device is much more comfortable. I find myself using my iPad Pro M4 more frequently because of how great it feels compared to the M1.“Thin again”? This is the first time they attempt to get it as thin, as the thinnest model so far has been iPhone 6 at 6.9 mm. Once again, Apple seem to be going for a form over function, designing a fashion object, rather than a useful tool. And they were not aware of it while designing and testing this thing?
I want a super thin iPhone. It’s interesting that Apple will go to this much effort to make “the thinnest iPhone”. I can’t recall anyone saying they want a super thin iPhone
Nahh, assuming it sells in quantities that Apple can source a better battery for, Apple will just release another iPhone Air next year with significantly better battery life. They shouldn't launch this without silicon carbon batteries being available in quantities Apple needs. My Oppo phone is already using silicon carbon for instance
Says a lot about Apple of today.
it stands for illusory.Well…. The “i” in iPhone suddenly means “irony”.
It’s not about what people say, it’s about what people like. Many people in tech forums (and obviously, to some extent, in real life) want a bigger battery — but I’m pretty sure few of them would be happy with a phone as thick as the camera bump. There are many such cases with mainstream tech ideas. It’s interesting that Apple will go to this much effort to make “the thinnest iPhone”. I can’t recall anyone saying they want a super thin iPhone, but have heard plenty of calls to get rid of the camera bump with a bigger battery. I’d say they know what they’re doing but lately that’s not necessarily true.

That's Apple's MO, and why you never ever buy a first gen Apple product.
