I just want a light phone. That's all. I am a 13 mini user. I won't cry about the fact that they discontinued it. Honestly the iPhone X form factor was perfect for me, 5.8 was good. But what gets me more than anything is the weight on these things. My 13 mini with an apple leather case on it is as heavy as I will get. If it's actually "air" and light. Consider me sold. Not so sure though with a nice massive camera bar and a whopping 6.7.
Going by thickness alone, the Air could end up weighing around the same as the iPhone 13 mini.

Jon Prosser on iPhone 14: No Notch, No Camera Bump, Titanium Design, and More

This guy seem to have amazing accuracy in his older leaks.
I mean, he was partially correct, the iPhone 14 Pro did ditch the notch and the very next year they did switch to titanium.
You forgot to mention those iPhone 14 leaks were from over a year before the phone actually released, so the fact that the two most realistic things listed there actually happened eventually doesn’t necessarily make him look as bad as you think it does.

do you guys think iPhone Ultra with 9-10 mm thickness but 2~3 day battery life will sell?
Idk.. From reading these forums the inclination is to say Yes absolutely! But the truth of the matter is that it's probably the desire of tech enthusiasts.... But the general public and the majority of people would rather thin light technology. Apple does ton of market research and there's a reason why they keep going the thinner route.

140G seems a tad overly optimistic, I’d guess probably more like 160G.
However, to most people, it will feel significantly lighter, just due to the fact that it has a much different weight to size ratio than the Mini.

If you do the math for the thickness, you end up at 144 g (starting with the Plus’ 199 g). The 13 mini is 141 g. Of course, we don’t know if or how the density changes.

I actually am glad they're making an effort on 'thin and light' again after some very heavy phones and middling thickness, if for nothing else then adding a bit of variety to the lineup. Being lighter has been one of the most compelling things about the standard iPhones over the pros for the previous few generations, so it makes sense to run with it and make it an official selling point. A shame they can't also thin the camera bump, but I'd take a good camera with a decent sized sensor over a flat design with a potato cam.

Given that the iPhone 14 Pro became heavy enough that Apple decided to start experimenting again with super thin devices and lighter materials like titanium, I’d say probably not.
As long as the modern phone has been around, people have gotten pretty comfortable with just charging them overnight. As long as the battery can mostly last throughout the entire day, people are usually satisfied enough.
What has been proven over and over again though is that people want the biggest screens in the most portable form factor.
That’s how you end up with Foldables, virtual screens and rumors of ridiculously thin and light iPhones with massive screens.

I have always done the annual upgrade to the pro max, the Air I am torn on due to the lackluster camera BUT it seems that it will have the Always On Display which I dont want to give up if I change this year. We will see!! Hopefully they do some cool colors like the blue the non pro has.

I’ve had the M4 iPad Pro for almost a year.
It’s 5MM thin with an aluminum housing, and it’s held up just fine.
Also, a thinner phone means a thinner case, and no matter what there will be weight savings.
cus its an iPad... I have an iPad Pro m1. it mostly sits on my desk or couch at home and has no need for protection. My phone goes anywhere and everywhere and falls on concrete and gets banged into things all the time.

why would you bother to create an enormous and even uglier camera bump and then have the fragile glass lens stick even further out?!

You are confusing random stuff with each other, by no notch he meant only selfie camera and under display face id, which obviously never happened till today (pic below for proof). the real dynamic island was leaked first by ShrimpApplePro.
Titanium 14 Pro also never happened, no camera bump iPhone also never happened till today.
round volume button never happened either. I think he claimed 16PM to have some super telephoto camera or some BS like that he copied from someone else, guess what, also never happened.
Top rated comment on his video : 10 months later: you couldn’t be more wrong 😑
Let me guess, we are gonna have 2nm chipset at some point, call me modern Nostradamus in just a few years when it eventually happens.

I wouldn't get upset over some rando's rendering. That's not Apple's finished product and we have no idea what this supposed phone will look like.

Dang, was really looking forward to that in-between size, it sounded like the Goldilocks size. The Plus/Max phones are just so hard to reach the corners :/

Even at 6.6" it was already firmly in plus territory, remember the original XS Max was 'only' 6.5"! With the 17 and 17 Pro going to 6.3", we're at the point where even the smaller size variants are creeping towards what was considered huge less than 10 years ago.
