Its one big email thread which has been running since my first order back in October.

They keep in touch and I keep in touch. They keep replying back and then I keep replying.

Its great.
Yeah, Liz is great for replying. Can just see her sat at her desk and saying “Jesus it’s that bloody guy from the UK again!

The only case I would consider getting next is if Apple actually releases a new colors for the techwoven preferably a royal blue (yes I know they have blue and I have it but I really want a royal blue) or a blue paragon. I’ve had black cases for years and I’m just so sick of them and only want navy or a royal blue case. Absolutely loved the ultramarine silicone case only for the color.

I don’t understand why gray sheath looks black on most of my photos

The light sensor in your camera is averaging the overall light level in the image while compensating for the white background, which lowers the exposure and makes the gray look darker. Photograph it on a dark background and it will look much lighter. That, or manually increase the exposure.

Thinborne, ordered 12/28 at 8pm PST (ship to So.Cal) Delivered Jan 2 5:00pmPST.

Haven't seen this brand posted here much.
Pros:
Feels Super thin.. odd that it feels so much thinner than the Pitaka... same weight.
18g weight (same as Pitaka)
Plenty grippy
Colour (Crimson Red) is fantastic
MagSafe is REALLY strong
Includes a screen protector

Cons:
No Camera Control (which I'm good with)
Limited raisivity so it won't be slam boy certified (neither does Pitaka)

All in all, VERY happy. Color looks great with Cosmic. Shipping time over New Years holiday can't be beat. They did ship from Texas. Nice handwritten thank you note and they included a car USB-A&C adapter.

Do you notice that now? The iPhone 17s take completely distorted photos. This is not about the most realistic representation possible, but about supposedly "beautiful" pictures.
Naw. If you take a middle gray object, place it on a large white background, then point any digital camera with evaluative metering at it, it will turn the white background to gray, and the gray object to black, unless exposure compensation is used. This isn’t specific to the iPhone 17.

Sorry, that's certainly written somewhere here, but after all the emails to Sarah I'm a little confused... 😂
Is the Paragon as heavy as the Sheath? That's the only thing that bothers me a bit, the weight of the Paragon.
Paragon is lighter than Sheath.

These are Pro Max specs:

Sheath precise - 54g
Paragon precise - 50g
Paragon open - 46g

Looking back at 2025 I really didn’t expect to end the year and not own a case I’d consider my favorite. I’m still waiting for Tekmomo I preordered, 3 Sheaths I ordered all had QC issues I couldn’t overlook. Bunch of brands I wanted to try either don’t make a base 17 case or don’t have CC button. I thought Sheath was gonna be the one and looking at everyone’s photos it’s still the case I like the most because it’s minimalist non slippery and bezels are the same all around the phone. So I hope the Tekmomo will be my everyday case I enjoy using, if not I really have no idea where to look, I might order the Sheath again hoping QC for base model improves Thanks for reading my essay, wishing everyone a happy new year!

I’m with you. Caudabe has had more struggles this year than even last in my opinion. Last year, it just took them forever to get the CC button out. This year, they had delays and then lots of QC problems. I’ve given up. They’ve replaced my Sheath twice. I noticed that both replacements have a couple poor fit spots that cause the case to make audible noises when I pick it up from the case moving around on the phone.

At least the cutouts and such are aligned and the buttons don’t rattle now…

just got my paragon in, not sure if other people have this white mark (maybe glue residue) underneath the plateau but mine has it and also sharp seams on the edges

otherwise it looks pretty clean tbh but its definitely not better than the gen 7 grip wise, i knew it was smooth but not THIS slick lmao it has 0 texture imo

gonna rotate between sheath and gen 7 this year this is going back

The Belemay crazy horse leather case I ordered from Amazon delivered on December 9 and has been the only case in rotation for me since. The feel in hand is great, and the patina is wearing nicely on the case. I'll try to snap some photos in here and the patina proud thread.

My orange Paragon has a razor sharp seam on one side, I believe I can shave with the damn thing 🤣 Caudabe QC issues are still alive and well unfortunately

Yeah, my Moonstone open has the same thing. I ended up getting a Midnight Precise replacement which is 👌
