currently deciding between Bellroy venture & Mous limitless, both in the light colour. Bellroy venture seems an interesting design and good price, havent seen anyone with the new one for 17 pro yet and its pre order with delivery in a couple of weeks. Had been looking at the beats rugged case but apparently not very grippy

I tried the Bellroy. Beautiful case but very slippery and an oil magnet. Ended up returning it for the dbrand grip case (still waiting on that one).

Have 2 cases coming this week:

Nomad modern sport in black today. Excited to see if the back of the case is improved

Wednesday the frost synthesis. Just couldn’t hold off on it and with my 20% off, couldn’t say no.

Nomad modern sport is in.

Positives: fit is excellent, buttons top notch, very responsive, and the case is surprisingly light.

Negatives: while I don’t use the CC button, any pressure depresses it. Also, whatever material they use on the back seems way too easy to get fingerprints.

Not sure if this is something I’ll keep or return

Is it just me or is QC worse than usual this year?! Just realised even my Apple silicone case has a slightly off centre USB port cutout at the bottom. And one of the ESR cases I have here has a camera cutout that is sooooo misaligned it's hair raising. It's going back immediately. The clear one is also slightly misaligned around camera, flash and Lidar, but it's not as noticeable here. (The Spigen Hybrid one was so bad it didn't even fit properly)
I mean, I'm not expecting too much from the cheap cases off Amazon but it's even bad in the expensive ones?! I think my pink Beats case (and the rugged one, too) is the only flawless one so far. The Apple clear case would be nice too, but the fit is so loose it collects dust at the top like crazy. At this point I'm unhappy with all of them, it's frustrating. Especially since they're all so expensive and might not even protect the phone properly.

In my experience, QC is pretty bad every year during the early days, then it improves over time as at least some of the MFRs make adjustments in response to user feedback and returns. I suppose that’s one of the drawbacks of being an early adopter. 🤷🏽‍♂️😊

Yeah that makes sense. I didn't notice this with my 15PM, though. I had a Mous Limitless, 2 Nomad Modern Leather, 2 Torras Guardian, 2 Apple Silicone, 2 Spigen... all fit well without any issues. But I guess we'll see improvements down the line with these cases. I've sent back 5 alone on Amazon now, with detailed feedback. So hopefully that leads somewhere. 😂

Caudabe Sheath Precise here today. The case is good and I like that the inside area around the camera plateau is nice and smooth, hopefully it won't damage the finish at all. I'm just plenty disappointed that they left out my Paragon precise and Sheath ember buttons that were suppose to be in the order :( I have to pull these buttons out as they are the wrong ones for the Sheath :( These buttons are the ones for the Synthesis (2.3) and are just too loose and rattly.
Here are a few pics:

Looks great! Can’t wait to try the Sheath, it’s my first Sheath case ever. Sadly my order 9/13 of the popular Gray has no movement, and it’s likely to be shipped Mid-October from the 3rd delay Caudabe put out.

I ordered the same ember orange buttons as well, and praying they don’t mess up my order whenever they get around to shipping it! 🙏

I have a nomad rugged case. Had to set the CC button to double click to stop accidentally activating it.

I’ve been using an Apple Silicone while I patiently wait for the Sheath (base iPhone 17). It has grown on me! Simple and clean case without any bulk. The Anchor Blue color is really nice too.

They are nice and light. And they fit about as good as any case can (assuming you get a good copy). The Sheath is a great case, but in recent years it has become heavier to the point that it’s now nearly 50% heavier than the Apple.
