New orders for the 'open' Caudabe Sheath in either color have now slipped to 'mid November', and I don't think anyone has received one of these yet even if it was placed early September(!).

What an absolute sh*tshow from Caudabe.
I have an order for a precise Sheath gray non Pro. The spreadsheet Caudabe gave me on Reddit says in stock but back log.

Have 2 cases (from Amazon) showing up Sunday. Excited for both

Tineeowl & Rebel Air. I’ll be interested to see which is better of the budget options.

Oh gosh, I just got a shipping confirmation & tracking number for my Caudabe order from Oct 4th. A 12 day wait wasn't that bad.

Is this them simply ordering a shipping label (Etsy tells my customers that an item has shipped when I've only requested a shipping label to print), or do you think it'll actually ship today?

What did u order?

Is it Yun Express label?

Aulumu A17 rugged case. Fun, grippy case. Plenty of lippage for those who prefer that.

The Milky Way Galaxy is by far my favorite of those 3 and it looks great paired with the Deep Blue, well any of those 3 designs do.
What about the Milky Way makes it the best? Does it really look like the Milky Way in person, and not just that something got spilled across a blue case, LOL?

Have you ever tried the glow-in-the-dark Lumintex version? Gimmicky, sure, but I bet that bright yellow really pops with the blue case and phone.

I ordered and received a Moonrise but still waiting for my Deep Blue 17 Pro to arrive. Might have to try a Milky Way too, especially if/when a Lumintex version comes out.

To me it looks the best and no I’ve never tried the Lumintex versions. I wouldn’t go out of my way and reorder it if they do come out with it in a few months either.

Over the horizon was just too bland and the dark blotch part on the bottom of the design was meh. I also noticed the finish of that one was the smoothest feeling and most slippery of the 3 and worst fingerprint magnet. My least favorite imo.

Moonrise is really nice and is a close second to me. The horizontal shades of blue mixed with the gray shades thrown in is really nice. The case’s texture is bumpier than Over the horizon and has better grip. The camera frame around the plateau is a slightly lighter blue than the Deep Blue color of the phone’s plateau. It all ties in and works well though.

Milky Way is my favorite, I like how it’s not horizontal lines. I had the Benks Aurora ArmorAir last year and I just personally needed a switch up from horizontal lines lol. The camera frame around the plateau is identical to the Deep Blue color of the phone like a perfect extension to the Deep Blue plateau. It is has the bumpiest texture of the 3 and most grip and shows the least fingerprints, like almost non existent (ymmv). The blue mixed with the yellow/tan that’s supposed to be the Milky Way Galaxy is such a nice combo.

It looking like the Milky Way Galaxy they could only do so much with the aramid fiber weaving to make it “look” like it lol. A beautiful design nonetheless imo.

I’ll post photos of the pairing later today.

Arc came through with flying colors, only a day later than promised. They used OnTrac, which in my experience has always been pretty good. Compared to the dismal shipping and communication I’ve experienced with a few other companies this year, I certainly can’t complain.

The fit and finish are somewhat improved over last year. The polish seems a bit better, and the fit is definitely tighter and more precise. I also prefer the symmetrical look over the asymmetrical design of the 16PM version.

This “case” is always light, but at 17 grams this may be the lightest version so far (the 16PM version was 18+ grams depending upon the model). On the Air, along with a 12 gram screen protector (Ultraglass), the total package is 194 grams. Amazing. In the hand it feels like an iPod Touch.

To look at it, I’d assume this combination is super fragile, but as tests have shown it’s actually quite a tough phone. Combined with the 10 foot drop protection provided by the Arc Pulse, I’m not feeling the need to baby it. That said, I certainly don’t want to drop it on a pile of rocks or down a staircase… lol.

I have a feeling this is going to be my most used case this year (it was on my 16PM). It provides such a unique experience: full access to the raw phone, 10 feet of drop protection, and light as a feather. I’m pretty stoked.

Received my Caudabe Sheath in celestial blue for my 17 Pro yesterday.

Order date was September 9th (Canada).

I sent a complaint on October 9th about the major delay and requested a free set of replacement buttons in shade "Sand" as compensation. They honored this request.

The contrast of the Sand buttons against the celestial blue case looks very nice.

I've used the Sheath since the iPhone X and am happy to say the quality/fit is on par to previous generations. As already reported, both the stock case buttons and replacement buttons rattle. The rattling is far beyond acceptable tolerances. I have already requested replacement buttons from Caudabe after they implement the fix.

I was using the Ringke Onyx as a placeholder while waiting. TBH, the Ringke is an amazing case. At 1/3 the cost, I would say the quality/feel/cut outs are on par. The only major con I had with that case was that the camera button wasn't covered which left a hole on the right side of the case that felt odd whenever my fingers brushed past it.

If they can truly fix the button issues, the Sheath is truly the perfect case. If you are still waiting for your order, hang on a little longer. The wait is worth it. Just make sure to check your buttons.
