I agree. I always go with Apple silicone. I kept the techwoven green case for my 17 pm deep blue. Returned silicone today.

I’m impatiently waiting for anybody to do drop tests with all of these cases 😂 My phone is back in the Beats Rugged after I panicked yesterday when the phone took a little 20cm tumble off my chair in the Spigen Rugged 😂 Of course nothing happened to case or phone, but the Beats case still feels superior when it comes to protection. I hope someone drop tests it in the future. I have to say the more I use it, the more I like it. Sure, it adds bulk but it’s still minimalist enough to not look bulky. And it feels great. It has some minor alignment issues on the bottom though, like the Silicone. And the Spigen too, for that matter. Maybe my phone is just a little wonky 😂 With the beats case it’s a little unfortunate because the speaker/microphone holes are individual holes. Guess I’m just unlucky with the case fits this year.

Ended up with the iPhone 17 Pro in Silver together with the TechWoven cover in blue. A very neutral, and dare I say elegant combo.

So my partial order turned out to be the buttons AND the case!!
No idea why it still says partial order but I'm pleasantly surprised.
Love the feel, love the look though they should have made another colour button set to match the Cosmic Orange. Minor niggle.
Also the speaker/mic holes aren't centre to the cut cutouts and the USB-C cutout is bigger than I'd like. It goes past the screws either side. I have a plug in there but still, too large. Especially as I very rarely use the port.
The rattle...
It's there. I put tape on them but found the rattle still there. The tape closes the gap between button and phone but there is too much tolerance around the buttons that lets them move in all directions. This also ca cause them to not look uniformly straight.
I'll have a go at putting tape across the buttons with an overlap attaching them to the case and see if that sorts it, but why am I having to do this?!
Are the replacement buttons thicker to stop lateral rattle or just so they fit snugger to the phone? If the latter it won't fix the sideways movement.

Ok, so the cure is to put a piece of clear tape (sellotape in UK) across the buttons and overlapping so that the tape is also attached to the case. That stops the wiggle and rattle. 👍🏻
It matches in real life, the iPhone camera makes the case look lighter.
As I said, expectation aren't high LOL. I only paid a few bucks each for them. Ordered 9 different things - we'll see. Stuff ships/delivers from them slower than herding turtle in peanut butter.
